Joe scrambled after Fujita and Gobu who were trailing behind the destructive rodent that plowed a hole through the crowd for them. That made things ridiculously easy. Joe glanced back, noticing that Inase had rejoined the fray, making things completely kosher, for if he hadn't been able to rejoin the group in his escape, Joe personally would have had to try and pull him from the clutches of SEKAI.
"Should we go after them?!" One of the SEKAI operatives asked the large canine-like commander who stood there, brushing Inase's dust from his fur. His massive paw rose into the air, and with a snap, all of the SEKAI operatives that were beginning to take pursuit of the team suddenly froze in place, looking to Yagano and awaiting further orders
"They're taking that traitor Gobu...god knows what he'll tell them, Yagano-senpai...! We should go after them!" The man directly next to the furry monster insisted--
With a swift backhand, he was sent crashing into the side of a building--
"I was under the impression that I ran things here." Yagano spoke from his beast-like maw, his brows furrowed, his snout wrinkling in annoyance. The other members of the small army froze in fear. "I'm pretty sure Gobu will spill his guts, especially if they dangle protection over his slimy little head. Everything he knows will be known to Konoha." The dog admitted, stroking his mandible. "But that just makes things all the more interesting, does it not?"
The team moved swiftly through the village and into the surrounding forest. Joe took a quick look back, observing that they weren't being trailed. His fingers clenched into his side, holding the broken ribs that were snapped when he was slammed at such a force by the monstrous creature that was Yagano.
"They're not following us..." Joe noted, glaring to Gobu who was up ahead. "Why aren't they following us?" The first thing that came to Joe's mind was that this was some sort of trap, that Gobu was still operating for them and any information fed to them from this point on was false and would lead them into a trap. The fact that that paranoia was present meant that there would only be further risk later down the road taking the information that Gobu would feed them, which sucked.
"Did you not see me back there?! They were trynna' kill me, too!!" Gobu glared back at Joe, who bit down on his teeth and swore under his breath. It wouldn't be long before they reached Konoha, and despite Joe's outgoing nature, there wasn't a place he wanted to see more after such a awful mission.
