The door seemed to explode open with an explosive sound, as if dynamite had been strapped to its wide, wooden frame and left to its own devices. But there was no dynamite on the other end. There was just Adashay Nina. Or were they the same thing? The camera crews had been waiting there since they heard the bloodcurdling scream of anguish once the fresh Genin had awoken from her latest bout of having nearly killed herself with training. Her team had already left?! Huh-what?! She had to catch up! One unfortunate crew member had been standing too close at the time, and the knob caught him square in the lens, shattering the glass and rendering the camera unusable, not to mention blowing him backward a good ten or so feet.
There was little to see as a cream-clad black-braided blur seemed to streak from the house like a comet, spinning momentarily to offer a hurried pant of apology, taking off once more. No doubt, that would be coming out of the stipend the documentary crew was paying her. Nina blazed. She was good and full of energy and chakra and was aching to use it. The sand billowed up behind her in great clouds as she raced through Suna-proper toward the training grounds. If they had already left from there, then there was practically no hope of finding them. Psh. What was she talking about? Of course she would find them! She cleared the fence to the training grounds with a one-handed vault off the fresh picket, landing with a roll and picking her head up, mauve eyes wide. "They gone...." she despaired with a sigh, head dropping. There would be no finding them now. The desert was a big place, and it was where they no-doubt went, as training in the village was impossible with the onslaught of people and lack of space. Get high... her mind whispered, and immediately, she perked up, drawing her hands into her robe and extracting one of her scrolls. Biting her thumb and drawing the blood smear over the parchment, one of her axes appeared in a puff of smoke. "Get high...." she said with a grin.
With a magnificent swing, Nina leaped once, landing on the invisible platform of air. But there would be no time to linger there. Another swing was immediately administered and she then resided to that one, repeating this process almost instantaneously, advancing in height. Meanwhile, eyes were shifting, the rectangular pupil lengthening, stretching until it almost touched the sides of her irises. Her linear vision was increasing, the distance of the straight, flat desert becoming more apparent to her and she blinked twice, giving one more slash and leaping up to crouch upon that air momentarily, peering at little dots in the distance. Well if it wasn't them, maybe tey would know where to find her team. Having lingered too long, the air dissolved back to its intangible state and she fell, twisting and spiraling to earth. With a snap of the spine and a kick of readjustment, she landed harmlessly on her feet, immediately taking off in the direction of the dots in the distance.

Here she was, hot, sweating, and only yards away from the edge of the oasis and these guys wanted to show up.
“I SAID, WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT HERE, CHICKIE?” the gruff voice called from behind her again. Tsuya turned to see what looked like a small band of marauders over by the oasis, getting a drink. Her smile was sly, but she only had the most honest of intentions. She was gonna kick some bandit ass.
“Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey fellas! How’s it goin’? What’s shakin’?” she called back with a grin and an animated wave. There were three of them that she could see. The group of sandy robbers pulled kunai from their sleeves and walked in her direction. “I suppose I should clear this place out before my students get here. And here I thought I wouldn’t have to exert myself.” As she mumbled annoyingly about the amount of energy she was about to expend, the first of the three men charged toward her. Without taking a step back, she formed three hand seals. “Atsuita no Jutsu,” she said with a calm smile.
Before he could get any less than 6 feet away, a giant plate of glass about three inches thick, three feet wide and 7 feet high appeared in front of him. The bandit slammed into it like a pigeon into a patio window, and slid down to the sand below, dazed. His two buddies, infuriated, took off after her next, criss-crossing each other as they ran. Tsuya chuckled, then leaped onto the glass. “Why are you guys being so mean? I just wanted to come out here and play wit’cha!” The two tossed the kunai at her, and she disappeared, appearing behind one of the men. Tsuya playfully tapped his shoulder. “Tag! You’re it!”
Just as the man turned, she laid a right hook on his temple, knocking him out cold. She shook her fist and growled. “Damn. Hard headed, I see.” But she didn’t have much time to make a joke before the third man tossed his kunai in her direction. The kunoichi swayed to the left, the took off in a flash to the unarmed man. She moved so fast, he had no time to react and was stunned when she landed a left knee in his groin. The bandit doubled over and lay in a heap on the ground, but the fun was not over yet. The bloody nosed bandit who had slammed into the glass wall stood and attempted to attack her form behind. “You bitch!”
Tsuya’s smile turned into a frown, and without turning around, she looked over her shoulder and four of the three inch glass walls encased the man. With the top of the glass prison still open, she grabbed the doubled over man and tossed him over into the glass room, as well as the man who was still knocked out from the sucker punch. The three groaned in their hot prison, bloody noses and bruises apparent.
Hardly tired from the little workout, she pushed the hair that was sticking to her face backward, and as she strolled toward the oasis to sit under a tree, she pulled off her hair scrunchie then pulled all of her stray strands back into a neat ponytail.
Now she had something like a show-and-tell for her students. If they ever made it there.

Slightly disappointed that his team mate didn't have a super sniffer, he looked down at the map, then up to the sky. With a clicking of his teeth, Tsume opened his great wings, and took off, causing sand to gust up beneath his wingspan which was huge compared to what it was. Wind rushing through his hair as he emulated the wishes of that Greek legend Icarus, he pushed himself down against Tsume, holding on to his neck for safety. The large grin that adorned his face spoke against his apparent safety concerns, though, as soon he was laughing as they flew ever higher and higher. When the height was soon far above ground, Tsume began to circle, no longer raising. Straightening, Shinpai held the map open slightly, and began comparing what he saw with what was drawn.
A minute or two passed, in which he couldn't really make anything out. His sensei, in all her awesomeness, seemed to lack truly artistic skills. She made up for it though, in his opinion, with her just all around awesomeness. As he sat marveling at the martial display she had put on, punching the air like she had, he was suddenly distracted. Of in the distance, the gleam of sunlight caught a reflective surface. Then another, soon followed by more, and then a constant gleam. He could just make it out, and wished he had worked on starting the idea he had wanted to. Maybe his sensei could help him with that. He pulled the map out, and then held it up, trying to place the distance of the gleaming sun spots to where the X was. He looked around again, seeing small similarities. Getting his bearings, he clicked his teeth again, and Tsume began his rapid descent. Within moments, Tsume leveled, as they reached a height where he could talk and be heard.
"I got it, mostly. It should be off that way," he pointed, "but it's a nice walk ahead of us. Well, you. We should go, so Sensei can be proud of us. So, what made you want to be a ninja?"
It was small talk, but it's all they had to keep them occupied on the walk.

[ Sorry for the...what is it now? Two weeks? But, yeah. Sorry for the wait. I don't really have much of an excuse other than the fact that I just wasn't feeling the character anymore. So, sorry again. ]
When Shinpai and his wretched bird took flight Ieyasu covered his eyes from the gust of wind that had been created from their take-off. Groaning when the dust started to settle down he looked up to see his teammate rising quickling into the sky. A moment would pass and the annoying boy and his bird would all but seem to vanish from his sight. It was then that he realized that his role in this little "game" was very small, if there was even anything for him to do at all. He would need to change that, and quickly too. There was no way he was going to be outshined by a hyperactive kid with no sense of what a shinobi should wear. In the meantime, however, he would just have to wait. Wait for him to return with some information on their destination.
So, whole he waited Ieyasu sat back down on the hardened and sunbaked earth, his arms folded and legs crossed. Those passing by would occasionally glance over at him, but none would speak to him. It was better this way, as he would have ignored them anyway. Closing his eyes Ieyasu began to meditate. Clearing his mind he would just listen to the world around him. The barely audible sounds of the civilians in the distance, the sound of the wind blowing gently, the sounds of the sand sifting, he listened to it all. That is, until he heard the sound of a bird flapping its wings. Opening his eyes he looked up to see his teammate hovering on his bird. After glancing in the direction that he had pointed in something caught his interest from the corner of his eye. There was something heading in their direction, but he couldn't quite make it out. Squinting he tried to get a better look.
"Hey, what's that?" he asked, ignoring the question that was asked to him, and pointing to whatever it was that was approaching them.

The energy was boundless as the sand raised in great, roadrunner-like pillars, overseeing the young Genin on her exploit. Eyes were narrowed to protect sensitive occuli from the harsh, windblown grains as geta beat repeatedly her determination to be the greatest in Sunagakure....no....in the shinobi world.
Nina skidded to a stop momentarily upon seeing something rise to the sky in the distance. A...bird, perhaps? Too large of a bird, it would seem, to naturally inhabit the deserts of Kaze no Kuni. Of course, stranger things had happened, but she would take this as a positive omen. At least she was headed toward people.
"Yeeeeee-whooooooo!" She whooped triumphantly, long braids flailing up after her as she leaped and spun, unsure if the bird could see her before taking off in the direction again, vigor renewed. She was getting close now. She could feel it.
"Hey-ooooooooo!" Nina howled to whoever might hopefully be in the area. "Aye-yo! Holla back!"

It was getting late. The sun was getting closer and closer to the horizon, at least it felt like it to Tsuya. The men in the glass box were still unconscious, and it felt it had been hours since she kicked their butts.
But it had only been, in fact, about 45 minutes. "Oh, come oooon!" she whined, sitting against a palm tree next to the oasis' pond. "I expected those little butt monkeys to be smarter than this." Needing something to do, she walked over to the glass prison only a few feet away and peered in. "Oy. OY!" she shouted, tapping on the glass like it was some sort of animal aquarium, and she wanted to see the turtles come out of their shells.
One of the men sat up slowly from his slumped over position and leaned back, beaning his head on the glass. "GAH!" he yelled. He had forgotten he was trapped in his glass prison. "Oioi! Let us out of here! We won't bother you or your oasis again."
"Tch, yah rite." she said quickly, raising a questioning eyebrow at the man. "Why are you and your buddies out here anyway? What business do you have being this close to Suna?"
The man shook his head. "No! It's not Suna that we want to bother! There was something we were looking for at this o--" But before he could finish, it seemed his bruised comrade had awoken also, punching him in his already bruised rib. "Hey, 'ey! Shut up you mouth, eh?" Tsuya watched the two closely, then spoke to the man who was advising his comrade to hush. "And why should he? Why should I not take you back to Suna as spies, and let you get that special 'espionage' treatment, hm? Know what we do to spies?" She asked. As she did, a dark ominous shadow was cast upon her face, and mysterious thunder and lightning crashed and flashed in the background.
The two men cowered together and screamed in fear.
"ALRIGHT! WE'LL SPILL!" said the second man.

His attention having moved completely from Shingai to the approaching cloud of dust Ieyasu started to walk towards it. He had no clue as to what it was, but whatever it was made him curious. Not caring if his teammate was following he walked to where the cloud seemed to have come to a halt. Shortly after, a loud shout would be yelled, and Ieyasu started to run in its direction. It only took him a moment to arrive at the source, and looking down at the young girl from over a sand dune he tilted his head.
"Please don't tell me she's a member of my team...," he muttered to himself, and then cupped his hands around his mouth and called out to the girl. "Hey, you! What're you doin' out here?"
