"Meet me at Training Zone Three. Two o'clock SHARP!"
The simple message would lead three fated Genin to Training Zone Three. A small training area located atop a flattened hill. Grass poked out of random spots of the light brown dirt. The perimeter was married to lengths of fencing. About three trees shot out of the dirt, and a stump was located toward the center of the field. Seated atop the stump was a single man. His legs crossed under him, leading up to his standard issue flakvest. His fist allowed a resting place for his jaw which was slightly forward as he lazily rested. His eyes were half open, soaked with laziness. His dark hair was tied back into a messy ponytail. His bandanna-style Hitai-ate covered the majority of what was slicked over his head. He signed.
"Damned kids... never on time."

Sun was up with only a few clouds in the sky, birds were chirping, breeze was blowing; It started out as a nice, quiet day. There was no yelling in the house for once over who was going to do what chores, or arguing among the two oldest siblings on who stole who's hairbrush. Just peaceful silence. The way Ami loved it.
Laying on her bed upside down with her head hanging over the bed as her stone blue eyes gazed out the window from a different perspective, her black hair cascading down until it touched the floor and a fresh toothpick in her mouth, Ami wore a peaceful, contemplative expression. Today was the day she would be meeting up with her team and sensei and most likely train and pass some tests. Another day in the life of a genin. Her right hand reached over and dug into her pants pocket, pulling out the note her sensei had left her and the others, most likely. Two o'clock on the dot, huh? Well, she had some time to kill before then and she was enjoying her silence-is-golden moment.
"Yuuuummiiiiii~! Come take care of Kuto! I need to help your father get today's special ready!" Oh, look! There goes the quiet bliss-
"What?! Why me?!" Out the window-
"Because I said so!" And into the gutter. Byebye peacefulness--
"AGH! Why do I always get treated like this?!"
SLAM!
Enter chaos, random yelling and shouting matches, and BF's. Well, this was a good a time as any to be hitting the dusty trail. Now, to just avoid the nuclear war that was bound to happen. Ami sighed and rolled off the bed and onto her feet, stuffing the note back into her pocket before poking her head out of the door frame. Looking both ways before crossing the threshold of neutral to dangerous territory, she quietly tip-toed out of her room and down the hall, stealthily avoiding her mom and baby brother, clinging to walls, avoiding loud squeaky toys and darting across the large living room. Salvation was in sight: the front door. Now to just slip on her sandals and be on her way.
One foot on. So far so good. Ami carefully started to put her foot down. And now the next-
SQUEEEAAAK
"... Aw, crap. " :[
And now she would be a few minutes late, having to tend to her baby brother while her mother cooked up the day's special and argued with Yumi's closed bedroom door how irresponsible she was being by not taking care of her brother and forcing Ami to have to tend to him. Again. She sighed and shrugged with her hands in her pockets, Tsujikaze strapped on her back and a toothpick in between her lips. What could she do? She was the most mature of her family.
Walking into the training zone and up the flattened hill, she looked around a little bit. She hadn't been to this training ground before. Interesting. Her front teeth bit down on the end of the toothpick and shifted it to the right side of her mouth as she approached the middle, seeing what she assumed was her sensei sitting on the stump, bored. So she was the first here. Well, at least she didn't feel so bad being a few minutes late. She silently approached the man until she was a few feet away, to which she gave an apologetic smirk for being tardy. She wasn't one for many words.
"Yo."

:]
Chisou read through the letter he had received in the mail with some difficulty. It wasn't so hard reading it, it was just hard to sit down long enough to get through the whole thing. "Mom! Mom!" he cried, leaping onto the kitchen table as she prepared a massive amount of eggs for their family. "I'ma meet my new team today!!" he leaped onto the ground and hugged her before hopping onto the counter and flying out the window. For reasons unknown, their kitchen was on the fourth floor, making this a prime jumping point.
Grabbing onto one of those decorative wires full of paper lanterns, he slid down to ground level, sending the paper lanterns flying. When he reached the end, he leaped off and flipped to the ground. After taking a moment to get the slight dizzy off, he took off in a sprint towards where he thought the training field was.
Unfortunately, where he thought it was and where it actually was were two entirely different things.
Several hours later, he was still sprinting around the village, trying to find this non-existent training field. The amount of energy he had would pretty much never run out, and so when he finally dashed onto the field (about ten minutes after Ami), he was just as bright and happy and hyperactive as when he left his house.

"... Lord have mercy..." Dango said as he stood upon the tree trunk. His dark hair waved about as a weak breeze passed over him. His black eyes stared down onto the two. "Unlike most teams, this cell shall only be composed of you two. This will allow me to better focus on your skills and weaknesses." He stepped off the stump, kneeling before the two Genin. "We're gonna start of simple. After we finish this little greeting, we'll get down to the real work. Introduce ya'selves. :]"

Ami watched as the other genin entered the field, seeming like a happy individual and shifted the toothpick in her mouth a little to the left. He seemed like someone she could get along with, as long as he wasn't one of those super hyper active "omg why won't you stfu?! D:<" type of people.
Ami liked most people, but those people just annoyed her. Especially since her sister was like that most of the time and all Ami wanted to do was listen to her music in peace without being lectured on what bands were hot and crap. She didn't give a rat's ass who was what. She just liked the songs.
Glancing back to her sensei as he started speaking, her hands fidgeted for a moment in her jeans pockets. Introductions? She wasn't so good with those. Not that she didn't want to talk to people or was shy or anything. She just didn't like talking about herself. But, it couldn't be helped. Taking a kinda deep breath in an almost sigh, Ami spoke up first.
"I guess I'll start," She shrugged and pulled her right hand out of her pocket, rubbing the back of her neck as she glanced to the side in thinking on what to say about herself. She didn't usually talk about herself. Or talk much at all, for that matter.
"Name's Ikawa Ami... I'm the second youngest in my family. Two older sisters and a baby brother... my dad owns Ikawa Ramen here in Iwa... I'm training to be an iryōnin and crap... yeah." Well, it could have been worse. Shoving her hand back in her pocket with a slouch and a shrug, she glanced to her sensei and her teammate, shifting the toothpick in her mouth once again.

Chisou's mouth fell open when Ami mentioned that her father ran Ikawa Ramen. That was his favorite ramen place of all time now and forever and at the end of all days. When she finished speaking and he finally got over the revelation that he was in the presence of a god, he opened his mouth to speak.
"My name is Okashi Chisou!" he said, pounding his hand into his chest. "My family owns the Okashi Candy Corporation! I've got lots of brothers and sisters and stuff and I'm happy and stuff 'cause my life is good and stuff so yeah. There's not much to me other than that, but, oh, wait, yeah, I've got lots of money too, so if either of you ever need money or something just ask 'cause I've got lots that I can just give away 'cause my allowance is really big but I don't really need it 'cause my parents buy me stuff anyway."
"That's about it."

"Huh..." Dango rubbed his chin as he stared onto his students. This would be... interesting. One student seemed like she was doped up on Ritalin at all times. The other needed to be doped up. It would prove to be difficult in the coming months. His hand moved from his chin to his knees. He sighed before opening his mouth preparing to speak.
"My name's Dango, 'nd I'm a member of Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai... the ANBU." he stood from his kneeling position. "That's all yous need to know about me. Now, let's get to the point."
His arms folded over his chest. His face became harsh and hard with what appeared to be anger. "Nownow-- the point of being a ninja... is to take orders. We, as shinobi, are tools of war, aren't we? We are used to protect, or attack other nations at the will of the Daimyo of this land. We are ruled by our Kage, but even he is subject to our Daimyo's will. We, as ninja, are not to have emotions. We kill. Then we kill s'more. Then we kill even more. That's what we, as ninja, are. Killing machines. That was I, for that matter, was born to be."
He shifted the weight onto his right leg. "Today's lesson is going to possibly be your last. The lesson is simple. It's what we are ninja are meant to do. The lesson is as follows--"
His hand reached behind his back, and reemerged with a glinting piece of steel.
"Kill me."

Yeeeaaahh, he was one of those people who you wanted to glue their mouth shut or give 'em drugs or something to stop talking. Great. It was kinda fitting for his family to own a candy company, considering how hyper he seemed. He seemed like a nice person. He just was hyper. Too hyper. This would be a long couple of years, hopefully sooner if they could prove themselves.
Once her energetic teammate stopped talking, her bored expression turned to her sensei with a small exhale of air as he picked up on introducing himself. Well, somewhat. This dude needed some serious stress relievers or somethin'. The seriousness was practically oozing out of him as he started on how a ninja's way was killing. Damn. Issues much? And then those two little words managed to catch her off guard.
"... Wedoinwhatnow?" Blinking once, eyes semi-wide she looked at him like he was crazy. A more curious, "wtf" expression took hold of the girl's features as she turned her head to the side, keeping her eyes on her sensei as she skillfully spit out the toothpick in her mouth before turning to him again. What the hell was this crazy ninja thinkin'? There was no way two inexperienced genin could take on a member of the ANBU. And even if they could and somehow, by the grace of God, manage to defeat him without getting killed themselves, where would that lead them? They'd be teacher-less and probably thrown to the dogs for killing a member of their own village. Ami took her hands out of her pockets and placed them by her sides in case she really needed to reach for a weapon.
"Are you serious? It's against what we've learned as shinobi to go against our allies." What was he up to?

Chisou's gaze wandered off as Dango started going on about killing and killing and more killing. He knew that Dango knew a lot more about everything, but on this matter he had to respectfully disagree. It meant something completely different to Chisou, and so his little tangent didn't mean a whole lot to him...except that he shouldn't joke around with this guy much.
When Dango said to kill him, Chisou simply laughed. It was a funny joke.

The Jonin covered his mouth in a semi-audible cough. His brow raised in curiosity to how his students reacted to his order. His hand lowered as he disappeared in a flicker. He would appear behind Chisou, swinging his arm behind him, placing his kunai to the Genin's throat. His free hand would shoot toward Ami, disassembling from a normal human hand to hundreds of roots. The roots shot toward the girl in a vicious attempt to pin her to a wall behind her.
"Um... I wasn't joking." he chuckled.

Whoanow.
As soon as she saw him appear behind her teammate, her right arm shot up to her back, where she grabbed Tsujikaze and pulled it out of it's holster, channeling her chakra into it and shifting her stance, spreading her legs slightly. As the roots came toward her, she pivoted her hips and feet to get out of the path, and swung the weapon down onto them, the sharp metal teeth rotating at a high velocity. If anything, hopefully this would rip through them. And give her a few seconds to think. Hopefully, her teammate could handle himself as well.
This ninja wasn't playin' around. And they had very little combat experience. This... didn't seem like it was gonna end well. :[

Chisou resisted slightly at the sudden hold he was placed in, but not a whole lot. Sure it was aggressive, but it was his teacher. He had no reason to want to fight back. Well, at least, not until he attacked his teammate. That called for some self-defense, at the least.
Hoping Dango would be fair enough to allow him a jutsu, Chisou went into a string of five handseals. Though they weren't exactly at light-speed, for a Genin of his age he went through them at a surprising speed. After he finished (if Dango allowed...from here on is gonna happen unless you're a cheapface ;[.), the backpack he was wearing began growing and expanding until it tore at the seams and the various things inside spilled out.
Among them was a green gummy bear that was rapidly growing on the ground between Chisou and Dango. After it reached about waist-height, it would begin trying to punch Dango in the side while still growing bigger and bigger. It would eventually forcefully separate the two...

"Hm..." Dango sounded as about three of his roots were severed, which cued him to retract the roots, forming his hand back to normal. He had no time to worry about that however as the backpack began expanding. A ninja with his level of experience knew better than to wait around for things to get larger. Quickly, he placed his foot onto the growing back, pushing himself off of it before it could get overwhelmingly huge.
Through the air, he flipped, eventually placing his feet onto the bark of a tree. This would allow him-- Wtf?
"Um..." he giggled as he looked at the girl. "You're good with a weapon! You cut off three of my fingers." This would be especially weird, wouldn't it? Know what's weirder? When those three fingers grew back right before their eyes. "That's better, now isn't it? Oh! You might wanna check up on those three roots by your feet!" The three roots, had smaller roots extending out of them shooting down into the earth and absorbing the nutrients. In a short amount of time, the roots would compose themselves into complete beings all their own, sharing Dango's own conscience.
Meanwhile, the ninja placed his left hand into a concentration In converting his right hand into five thick roots. He shot his hand forward, making one root attempt to wrap around the large gummi bear. The two of the others would shoot toward the boy, attempting to wrap around and expunge any ability to move his upper body. The other two would attempt to do the same to the girl.

OOC: (( New to the whole fighting thing. If I mess up, let me know. ))
Omg. Wtfh?
Were those things moving on their own? And did he just grow the three fingers back she lopped off, that were now wiggling and implanting themselves in the ground? Holy shit, dude.
Ami made it a point to move away from the growing... things, yet still watch her sensei. Okay, got a few seconds to think. Chopping off parts = grow more and multiply = bad. 'Kay. So. Wtf was she supposed to do against him? Blo--
...
Bingo. Oh, she was good for her age.
Spotting her target, she placed Tsujikaze back behind her back and took out a kunai instead. Just as the roots reached her, she used Kawarimi with a log a few yards away from her sensei. Once she was in position, she threw the kunai toward him, an exploding note attached, jumping back as she did so.

The moment he was released, Chisou turned around and stood just in front of the monstrosity of a gummy bear. Though Dango had moved to a point far away, Chisou knew he had to stay ready. A Jonin would definitely have some form of long range.
Probably because they were only Genin, Dango was heavily telegraphing his moves. He was practically e-mailing them, actually. The gummy bear lifted its arms above while the roots came at them. The moment before the roots actually wrapped around Chisou, however, Chisou leaped above the roots, flying nearly parallel to them. The gummy bear bent over and wrapped its arms around the roots meant for Chisou, (hopefully) keeping them from going anywhere (the big ol' root IS wrapped around its stomach, the raising of the arms kept them from being pinned down).
Not having seen what happened when Ami (badassly) chainsawed through the roots, Chisou stupidly pulled out a kunai before wrapping his arm around the extended roots. Holding it high above him, he quickly began trying to hack away at the stupid things.
(I don't know if any of that made any sense.)
