What he saw would be what was right in front of him: his sister sitting back on the couch with Hanz's leg in her lap, leaning in closer to her, and her face beginning to lean in toward his in the starting moments of a strategically planned kiss. She had apparently not heard him yelling her name when he came in the apartment because of the new layout and the TV being on blast. And, mainly because it all happened to fast.
As he stepped in, Shikome's eyes fell upon Izumida's in shock, her lips just parted enough for the kiss. "Izumida!" she exclaimed, looking at him, then to the kiss-prepped Hanz, and then back to him. She pushed Hanz's leg off of her and stood up. "Uh...where's your bag?"
There was no need to try and cover up what was going on. Izumida was a smart kid.

Suspicions were confirmed. Hanz thought that everyone woman in the world could be brought in by his charm, so needless to say, this didn’t really help his ego. Shikome was a little different though. As she was brought in by him, he was the same for her. She was a troublesome little woman…and it just so happened that it was his name. The excitement surrounding her made chasing her all the more better. So instead of him getting bored and moving on at this juncture, he would stay and bask in the ambience of excitement that surrounded her.
With only breaths separating there lips from enjoying their second kiss, anyone would have been able to guess what would have happened. Hanz heard the noise, but chose to ignore it. He even heard the yell, but hoped that the kiss would beat Izumida in this footrace that they were on. It was a photo finish as the young boy leaned into the tape and would break it. The symbolism was so true seeing as how the tape was the mood, and having little man in the room definitely cut it. As Hanz’s legs were pushed off of Shikome, he let out a sigh.
Easing back in the chair, his hands came together as his fingers interlaced within one another. Placing them on top of his head, his lips puckered again, giving him access to his inner cheek once more. Giving Izumida the what up nod, he looked up at Shikome. She was embarrassed or something. He wasn’t quite sure why…I mean…both he and Izu-kun knew that she was digging him. Right now, Hanz could tell by the look on the boys face that he knew what was happening.
”Don’t insult his intelligence. He know what was going on.”
Leaning forward, Hanz stood up and walked toward the boy. Today was a big day for him. It would seem as though Shikome would slip right threw his fingers. It made no difference though. There would be another time for the two of them. Considering the fact there was some sort of feeling their, and apparently it was mutual.
”So it’s official huh? Let me see our ID.”

"O--oh." Izumida began, surprised by the sight. In his 10 years of knowing Shikome, she never seemed like the type to fall for someone, let alone kiss. Maybe, just maybe, if he completely ignored it, it would be as if it never happened. Maybe.
Turning around, Izumida walked back down the hall and got his bag. Upon returning, he dug into it and pulled out his new ID. The picture on the card was completely and utterly emotionless, Izumida quite clearly hadn't been enjoying himself. "Here..." he muttered, holding it up to Hanz.

Shikome looked at Hanz curiously as he spoke his mind. She knew that Izumida knew. She was trying to play dumb for his sake. She was afraid he was a fragile kid, and she didn't know how he'd see her if she was starting to like a guy. The last thing Shikome wanted to do was alienate her little brother, or make him feel like she was abandoning him.
Maybe she was being too deep with it.
But she didn't want to take that chance. She'd keep her and Hanz's escapades better under wraps. Besides, if Izumida could see it, who knew who else could put two and two together.
"Yeah, lemme see, shortman." She took the ID and smirked at it. "Come oooon. You couldn't even give me a fake smile?" She smiled her best Regina Spektor smile at him, then showed the ID to Hanz.

Shikome was so uptight around the little dude. She was trying to protect him from the world or something. Hanz thought that she was a good person because of it, but it was a losing battle. ESPECIALLY with Hanz being his sensei. The boy would get many talks in the coming future, all of which would be on subjects that she more than likely tried to protect him from. As the card was intercepted, Hanz peeked over her shoulder at it before she would show it to him. Slipping it from her fingers, Hanz looked it over and a smirk came to his face.
”I like it. Strong silent type. It fits him.”
Hanz looked at the clock. He should probably head out, there was no point in starting the training of Izumida this late in the day. Hanz’s work out was grueling and the boy would find himself pushed to his limit day after day. Though the Jounin fought with his mind mostly, his body was in type physical condition. It would be something that he would expect from Izumida as well seeing as how he would be his pupil. It was slightly different however. While most Jounin took on Genin teams, Hanz was simply asked to pick one child. That child would be his apprentice and he would pass on his information to him so should anything happen to Hanz, he would be able to take his place.
Hanz had really come here for one reason. Ok two reasons…but he only had one reason left. Though the training wouldn’t begin today, he did have a gift for him. Remembering him carrying around that bookbag, Hanz knew that wouldn’t fly as a ninja. Unlike hip hop…there were no back pack ninjas.
”I got you something.”
Undoing the pouch on his leg, he reached in and pulled out a black object. There was white tape around it keeping it from unraveling. Hanz wasn’t really the type to wrap a present. This was the most conventional way to do it, and it was nothing special. In fact, this one was used. Breaking the tape, he unrolled it and it was a pouch. It was similar to the one that he had just taken it from. Flipping the pouch open, he slipped the idea into the back wall and then showed Izumida where it was.
”You’re a little too old for a back pack now. This will hold everything you need.”
If Hanz remembered correctly, he didn’t see one on the boy. Besides, this one could hold more than most if it were packed correctly. Tossing it to him, Hanz put his hands into pockets of his hoody.

Oh, how cute.
"Um, where's mine?" Shikome said, holding her hand out to Hanz. If Izumida was getting a gift, she wanted one too. Well, not really. "I'm kidding. Well, unless you really have something." She winked at him playfully, but not in a suggestive manner, which is what a guy like Hanz would probably take it as. She just had to get used to his pervy mind to know which jokes to and not to tell.
"Anywho, you two should get to your training, no?" Shikome was excited that Izumida would have such a great teacher. How many other genin could say they were being trained personally by a shinobigatana? Zero. That's how many. And that meant whenever he was out of her sight, he would be taken care of. No doubt about it.

Izumida gave Shikome an eye-smile in response to her Regina Spektor smile. His lip muscles were weak from disuse, and she would understand the eye-smile as a replacement.
When Hanz gave him the pouch-thing, Izumida quickly looked it over. Looking at the bulky backpack on the ground beside him, Izumida realized that this was the end of the line for him and Backapacka. With a slight hesitation, Izumida wrapped the pouch around his leg. It was a bit bulky, but otherwise a good fit.
He looked up at Shikome. While most kids his age would be extremely happy to have their first leg...pouch...thing, Izumida was kind of sad. This was the end of his childhood, he was a ninja now. Certified, papers all signed, all that jazz. He was the property of the village.
Izumida's eyes deglazed and he came back to earth. He realized he was still looking at Shikome. Taking a step back, he looked up at Hanz and got into the best straight-back, head tall, and chest out pose that he could. "Thank you, Hanz-sensei." he spoke softly and seemingly without care, but if one knew Izumida well enough, they could see how seriously he was taking this.

Hanz looked at Shikome as she played the jealous card. Raising an eyebrow, he couldn’t help but to smirk as she winked at him. Seeing as how he was an interrogator in his free time, he could read signs well. Hers wasn’t exactly what he would call sultry or provocative, so he simply took it as her joking around. As she switched gears, it caused Hanz to locate the clock and pursed his lips to the side. He tried to remember when he said he would pick Mako up. Deciding that it’d be better to go sooner rather than later, he would decline the invitation to start the boys training.
”Not today. You need to rest up. Tomorrow morning, I’ll be here at 4:00 AM. We’ll start your training then.”
Turning his attention to Izumida, he didn’t like the fact that he was so hard to read. He saw the eye smile, but since he wasn’t familiar with it, it was an expression that was to be named later in Hanz’s mind. It made him uneasy for just a second, but then again, what could Izumida do to him? He was still wet behind the ears. He still had milk on his breath. He was still without style or class. He was sti—ok so maybe he was thinking about it too hard.
”You’re welcome. I’ll let you two spend some time together. As of tomorrow…”
Placing his hand on the young boys shoulder, he looked him in the eyes and smirked. Dropping his hand he stepped past him and toward the door.
”That ass is mine.”
Tossing up a peace sign, he pulled up his hood and unlocked the doors. Making his exit, he would pull the door up tight behind him.

Shikome walked behind Hanz down the hall as he left, and locked the door behind him. As she re-entered the living room, she walked over to Izumida and put a hand gently on his head.
"Okay, shortman. No more written homework for you. You're free to watch TV anytime you want now," she declared strongly. "So, why don't you go find us something good on while I go get us some grub." Shikome ruffled his hair, then grabbed her key and headed out the door to get her and Izumida some dinner.
"Be back soon."
