The sound of the wooden chopsticks bouncing off the ceramic bowl could be heard shortly after Shikome's demand to know who Saki was. Sucking his teeth, he stood from his chair, wiping the tasty broth from his lip and flicking his finger aside. He turned slightly, noticing the girl come straight up the hallway like she meant business.
"Oi, crazy. Mind keeping it down?" Badō asked, a toothpick hung from his lips, he muttered something about insane women.
Following Shikome around the house was a semi-ticked Miyami who was taught to never fight unless directly attacked, a rule her teacher constantly broke when he instigated fights and punched random people in the face to...well...instigate fights.
"Yeah, Emishi Badō-sama...who's Emishi Saki?" She purposely tacked on Badō's surname so that Shikome would notice that the two had something in common, their surnames were exactly the same. She smirked, standing some ways behind Shikome, her hands on her hips, giving Badō a playful glance.
"Guh...bitch." He muttered onto the air with a sigh.

Shikome stopped in her tracks when Bado revealed himself, almost squaring up at first, but he didn't seem like he was going to attack, so she unclenched her fists. When the woman behind her spoke up saying his surname with the other name, she turned to look at her curiously. "Wait, wha--?"
What the hell was going on here.
"You don't know?" She asked, spinning to face to woman. At first, she half expected someone by that name to appear out of one of the rooms in the mansion, but now she didn't know what to expect from this tiny family of weirdos.
She turned her attention back to Bado.
"Your girlfriend doesn't even know who this Saki person is?" Shikome proclaimed rather presumptuously. "Guess you're in trouble, huh?"

"Tch...Saki's some chick that my pops wifed and knocked up once upon a time..." Badō groaned, sure he'd acknowledge her as his father's one-time wife and bearer of his child but refer to that wretched woman as his mother? Not since he was five. Some could say that she was the very root of all of his problems with women. "S'none of your business or nothin', I ain't seen her in a decade and some change, if you know her let her know that I give her a big 'fuck you.'"
"Now you tell me what that kid is and why he knows so much about me."

When Bado asked what Izumida was, Shikome became utterly defensive. As usual.
"That kid is my little brother." Shikome spat, stepping up to Bado as she often did when she was about to verbally kick Raigyo's ass. "And I don't know what the hell you're talking about. He doesn't know jack shit about you. So whatever bull crap you're spouting, you can take it and shove it up your ass."
So hostile.
But she didn't care. All she knew was while Izumida was near these people, he was sick and in danger. All she wanted was for him to wake up and to get as far away from these characters as possible.

Moments after Shikome was done verbally owning the others, Izumida stumbled in. Badō's wards had left him alone briefly, and in that time he somehow woke up. "Shikome...?" he muttered, rubbing his pounding head. Once he saw Badō, however, he took a step back, hiding in Shikome's shadow. "I don't like him..."

"Tch..." Badō sucked his teeth, his lazy expression grew ever annoyed with this woman before him. Either she was oblivious to the freak that her brother was or she was withholding information. He held a hand up to her face, waving it back and forth, digressing as well as asking her to refrain. "Uh-uh. Not in my house, lady. You're pretty hot and all, but no one disrespects sacred ground, especially when invited upon it." Badō may have been a disappointment to his father, but his father's teachings weren't completely lost within the boy.
"Feel that wood on your toes? Sacred ground." Badō's eyes narrowed, noticing the small child enter the kitchen, soon followed by Haikō. He claimed not to like Badō, wouldn't be the first person, it seemed like the young martial artist thrived on such fear and dislike, as if he fed upon it. Slipping his hands into his slacks, he hunched forward, roughly getting eye-level with Izumida. His face was spooky to say the least, "I'un' like robot ultrons, neither, so we're even."
"Tch, leave the squirt alone." Miyami sighed, crossing her arms across her abdomen. "Listen, Shikome, right? Before you--" Miyami began explaining, Badō held his hand up as he stood straight, motioning for his ward to stop speaking.
"Saki didn't do whatever was done to this kid, she's not who you're looking for unless you're into that sort of thing, if you catch my drift." Badō explained, "Your brother's awake now, you can step." He spoke coldly, pointing down the hallway in the direction of the front door.

"You ain't said nothing but a word. Let's get out of this freakfest, Izumida." Shikome said, slipping on her shoes and grabbing Izumida by the arm after slipping on his. She wasn't too fond of this guy, and it was apparent. At least she'd never see him again, right?
When the two got outside back to the road, Shikome squatted till she was eye level with Izumida. "Hey, Short Man, tell me what happened before I got here." She placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. "What did that guy do to you? What made you not like him?"

Izumida shuffled away from the creepy house a few paces, semi-taking Shikome with him. He spoke quietly, as if he didn't want anyone to listen in on them.
"I was just on my way home...the second I walked by this place, however, everything got so weird. The street warped and I kept seeing all these strange sights. Then it all disappeared and I was still standing where I began."
He wrapped his hand around his opposite arm, looking down. He felt terrible for not being able to tell her more, and even worse for having no idea what had happened. It's not Izumida's thing to not know what's happening. But...that seems to be happening a lot lately.
"I think it may have been a Genjutsu or something...but why?"

Shikome looked over her shoulder at the house, then back at her brother. "Genjutsu? Why would they use a genjutsu on you?" She and Izumida walked a little further before she put her hand on his forehead again.
"Look, let's go home shortman. We'll sort through this tomorrow." Izumida still had a bit of a fever, and he had training scheduled the next day with Hanz. She knew he was looking forward to it, so she would do everything in her power to make sure he was okay and up to par for his first day of training.

"Yeah."
That was all Izumida said as he and his sister began their walk home. Another day of his had a bit of insanity in it...he was really hoping this wouldn't become a recurring theme in his life. What if he was going crazy? Didn't some old geezer once say that insanity was dreaming whilst awake? What if those were just dreams and he had blamed those poor people who helped them?
Scratching the top of his head, Izumida shook that thought out. If there was anything he knew, it was that that was a bad person. Oh, and that he was insane. He was most definitely not insane. But, yeah, he knew that man was most definitely not a good person in any way. He looked like the kind who would shoot a man in Rikino, just to watch them die. He was the bad guy.
Shuddering as he remembered his smile, Izumida moved in a little closer to Shikome as they walked.
