" YOU SHALL SURRENDER A FEATHER TO ME YOU DASTARDLY PIDGEON~~!!! "
Yelled out the loudmouthed Genin. He charged forwards, slobbering from the mouth and screaming at the top of his lungs as if he was some kind of madman. When he was within five feet of the tree he performed a set of In and withdrew his Tanto once more from its sheath. While his sensei said they weren't allowed to use weapons, he most likely meant by no actual connectivity with the bird.
Fortunately-- Ken had jutsu! He lifted his Tanto above his head and swung it downwards towards the ground, curving it towards the tree as a concussive gust of wind and sand was sent flying towards the tree leaving sand floating in the air as an aftermath. Quickly he sheathed his Tanto and jumped into the sand-filled air and towards the tree, flailing his arms everything in an attempt to atleast get the creature to let loose a feather or two. Heh-- If he was lucky he'd grab the bird, who he disrespectfully referred ot as a pidgeon.
" I AM KEN, RESPECT ME AND GIVE ME A FEATHER!! AUUUGH!!! " Shisunafū [ Concussive Sand Blast ] D-Ranked Ninjutsu, Offense, Far Range. After making the Rat, Dog handseals, Ken will channel wind chakra into his Tanto, withdraw it from its sheath and slash it to the ground towards the area of his opponent, sending a concussive blast of wind and sand towards his opponent. This jutsu is capable of leveling a lower-ranked shinobi from their feet onto the ground while causing physical damage to thier upper-body. Shisunafū is a minor variation of his Fū ton • Chikara jutsu.

Oh fuck. Ken was already on the move towards the graceful hawk, insulting it immediately. This would not end well, that was for sure. It looked even worse when he pulled out his tantō, and began forming In. Tsuneo was already dashing after him, and he recognized the seals made. Was he seriously going to try and injure Tomoe? Not if I can help it...
There wasn't much Tsuneo could do as Ken leapt through the sand towards the beautiful bird, except act on a dime. Tsuneo's pale blue eyes shifted in a deeper blue color, and the pupil formed a ring around it, with three prongs connecting it's center to the ring, which would then form three bulges, followed by a thicker ring jutting out of the blue portion of his eyes. This was the Chōzetsugan, the famous Dōjutsu of the Onoda clan.
His newly changed eyes would begin to spiral as his quickly thought up images in his head. He didn't want to harm Ken, and he didn't want Tomoe to be harmed, so the process would have to be careful, which was hard to do due to the fact that he was being rushed. If Kon was watching at all, he'd find that no In was shown as a gust of wind litterly formed in front of Ken, and pushed him, along with the sand backwards and away from Tomoe. Even the wind launched from Ken's jutsu seemed to be disabled, as the force of it litterly turned against Ken and casted him backwards whilst in midair.
Tsuneo would continue his sprint, but not in the direction of Tomoe. Oh no, he didn't want to startle the majestic bird. He simply zig zag'd backwards, headed in the opposite direction of the Hawk before coming to a full stop, where he would hold out his right arm in the same fashion that Kon did. "Heeey! Tomoe! I don't suppose I could have a feather from you, could I?" He would try being nice first. Instead of crazily dashing towards a creature that could fly away from him, he'd be calm and ask the creature to instead fly towards him, trying to keep everything as civil as possible.
Name: Chōzetsugan - Transcending Eye Range: Self Jutsu Type: Kekkei Genkai Elemental Affinity: Sōton – Phasing Clan: Onoda Description: Chōzetsugan is a powerful doujutsu technique with multiple applications. Firstly, it gives the Onoda user something akin to X-ray Vision. The detail and specificity of the Chōzetsugan changes with levels and personal abilities, but there are usually fairly common thresholds. At Genin level, the abilities of the Chōzetsugan are fairly simplistic. The Onoda user will be able to see the skeletal system of other creatures and well as the ability to see through most objects. At Chūnin level the Chōzetsugan will increase very much in power. The Onoda user will be able to see and attack the skeletal system, muscular system, digestive system, respiratory system, and cardiovascular system. Also, at Chūnin level, they will gain the ability to see through all solid objects. At Jōnin level the Onoda user will be able to see and/or attack the skeletal system, muscular system, digestive system, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, nervous system, and immune system. Also, the range of the Chōzetsugan will increase greatly.
The second application of the Chōzetsugan is literally photographic memory. The Onoda user will be able to, literally, take pictures with their dōjutsu and extract the memory later. However, the Onoda user will not be able to hold and infinite number of memories and pictures. At Genin level the Onoda user will be able to hold five to ten pictures or memories. The memories will be somewhat grainy and lose their detail with time if extraction is not completed in a fairly short amount of time. At Chūnin level the Onoda user will be able to hold twenty to twenty-five memories or pictures. The memories will lose most of their detail with time, but are much more resilient than at Genin level. At Jōnin level the Onoda user will be able to hold a maximum of fifty pictures or memories. They will exist indefinitely and will not lose details with time. At any time the Onoda user will be able to delete memories and/or photographs and then replace them with others. Deletion is instantaneous and, once complete, the Onoda user will simply have a regular memory of the event.
The extraction technique is, actually, not very complex, but complications have been known to arise. The Onoda user will transfer the specific memory and/or picture they would like to save or see via chakra onto a special piece of paper. The paper is, usually, created in Konohagakure, because of the availability of trees, and then sent to the other villages. Once the memory or pictures is transferred to the paper it will take about two hours for processing and then development. The end result is either a single picture or a series of pictures that can be used for practically anything.
The third application of the Chōzetsugan is usually used in conjunction with the second application, although it is more battle related. The first step of this move is to take a 'mental picture' of an opponent using the second application of the Chōzetsugan. The Onoda user will then have to manipulate the picture or a series of pictures to form a move or a set of moves. Once the move in the Onoda Clan member's mind is completed, they will need to implant it into their opponents chakra system via most Kekkei Genkai jutsu.
At Genin level the Onoda user will be able to implant moves or ideas that extend over a period of ten seconds. The Onoda user will be able to affect mobility and the rate of chakra release. For example, they can create and implant a series of pictures into an opponent in which they will have to stand completely still for ten seconds, leaving them completely open for attack. Also, they can affect the rate at which and opponent releases chakra. For example, they will have the ability to create and implant a series of pictures in which an opponent will continually release a large amount of chakra for ten seconds. This greatly tires out opponents at all stages of battle. Additionally, at Genin level, in order for the memory to be transmitted the Onoda user needs to make three successful connections on an opponent. A connection can mean anything from basic physical contact, such as a punch or kick, or even a gentle touch. After three connections they will only be able to transfer one memory at which point, to transfer another memory, they will have to hit their opponent another three times. At Chūnin level the Onoda user will be able to implant moves or ideas that extend over a period of thirty seconds. The Onoda user will be able to affect mobility, the rate of chakra release, and their susceptibility to Genjutsu. At Chūnin level two successful connections need to be made for transmittance. At Jōnin level the Onoda user will be able to implant moves or ideas that extend over a period of two minutes. The Onoda user will be able to affect most aspects of their victims actions and most aspects of their susceptibility to attacks. At Jōnin level only one successful connection needs to be made for transmittance.
Name: Irōnaku Kansei - Complete Control Range: Close to Mid Jutsu Type: Ninjutsu / Dōjutsu Elemental Affinity: Phasing Clan: Onoda Description: Irōnaku Kansei is the improved form of the Fuzen Kansei. Though the jutsu does have a slightly higher chakra cost, the results are well worth it. The science behind this jutsu is as follows: by using the Chōzetsugan an Onoda Clan member can use this jutsu to control their affinities, Earth or Wind. The user will take a picture of their surroundings and then form a series of pictures in which the earth or the wind is moving. They can, then, implant this command into the air or into the ground via Shintosuru Gekai. Using this jutsu and Onoda clan member can appear to be able to use pure elemental manipulation without any precursor handsigns, much like the Udekase.

The look upon Tomoe's face flattened as the arrogant and obnoxious genin ran towards her like a dog chasing after a stick. It was quite a disturbing sight really. Was this really the type of person that she was going to have to be putting up with from now on? No, no. Kon told her that this was just a temporary situation until Tsuya returned from her mission -- however long that would take.
She merely watched as the boy withdrew his tantō and began performing a series of handseals. Judging by what she saw it was going to be a Fūton based attack. Her eyes narrowed on the other boy as he raced towards his teammate, almost as if he wished to stop whatever he was about to perform. This could be interesting..., Tomoe thought to herself as the concussive blasts of wind came racing towards her. Raising her wings her intentions would be a mystery. Was she going to fly away? Or was she going to counter with an attack of her own? The world may never know as the blasts of wind and sand were sent flying back towards the kid, likely knocking him right back down to the ground.
"Who could respect an undignified mutt like you?" she would say tauntingly to Ken. She then turned her attention to the second child on this team. Tilting her head slightly she watched Tsuneo as he moved back. His eyes had changed. That was the first thing that she noticed about him, the second being that he had just protected her. With a flap of her powerful wings Tomoe took flight, circling over the training field. An amused huff slipped from her after hearing the boy's request.
"Handle your teammate for me and I will gladly reward you one of my feathers," Tomoe cooed to him as she descended closer to the ground, and flew behind Tsuneo's head. If a hawk were capable of smirking she most definately would be doing it. Ascending higher into the sky she continued to circle over the field, watching the two genin. Eager to see just what they would do.
Meanwhile, Kon simply walked to the edge of the training field and leaned against the wooden fence. His arms crossed over his chest and his eyes locked onto the movements that both of the boys made. He was evaluating them, noting their strengths, weaknesses, and most importantly their abilities. After this he should have a good understanding of just what to do with these two boys.

" .....AUUUGH!!!!
I SHALL DESTROY YOU TSUNEO, MY HONOR SHALL BE REDEEMED! "
yelled out Ken, aiming to insult Tsuneo once more and pump himself up even more. His attack was countered by Tsuneo, causing him to be sent flying backwards towards the ground. After his outburst he pointed towards the bird in the sky and glared at her. She dared to call him an undignified mutt? He'd handle her after he was done with his teammate. Their was no way in -hell- he'd lose to him again. He was a two-year genin and he shouldn't lose to a rookie like him.
" And to you-- PIDGEON. I SHALL CUT YOUR FEATHER OFF WITH MY BLADE YOU FLYING POULTRY!!! "
While his information was incorrect, with calling a Hawk a Pidgeon then referring to the pidgeon as poultry, that was besides the point. He was just aiming to frighten the bird or at the most cause it to shut its big beak. He cracked his knuckles and smirked as he cleared his throat and once again would speak. This time it was much softer and not so much loud. " How about we cut the shenanigans and settle this like men? No Jutsu-- Just all out TAIJUTSU FIGHTING!?" Yet as he finished his sentence his voice would get louder as he frantically charged forwards in a madman's rage. His target--
Tsuneo.

"Handle your teammate for me and I will gladly reward you one of my feathers."
Fuck.
So much for avoiding conflict with Ken. Apparently, the only way he was going to get a feather and end any conflict is through, well, conflict. Ken was already shouting out in the heavens about honor and pigeons. Tsuneo didn't really care. This was just going to turn out like their previous match, if you could call it a match. So far, the play was coping the same scenes. Ken was rushing forward recklessly, while Tsuneo stood calmly. "Sure, whatever. No weapons, since I don't have any."
While that wasn't entirely true, what Ken didn't know wouldn't kill him. Or would it? How was this going to play out? Ken was dashing forward like he had rabies or something, and all Tsuneo could plan out was a twenty step plan involving the Chōzetsugan, a stick, and Ken's face. But alas, he had no sticks to work with, so he'd have to go with plan B.
Once he had thought up a plan, which took him about three seconds due to the fact that all it involved was showing off, Tsuneo's shoulders literally jutted backwards out of their sockets, and his knees bent inward on themselves. His knuckles busted upwards and poked at his fleshy skin, as muscles, joints, vertebrae, and ligaments all rearranged throughout his body. Each and every movement on the inside was shown and heard on the outside with crawling skin, and sickening snapping noises. When his Sōton chakra was all set, Tsuneo was crouched onto the ground much like a wild dog, with bones and joints shaped the same as a wolf. This was the infamous Beast Walk of the Onoda. The second most deadly fighting style in the Onoda Complex, which is only taught to those with significant skill.
Then, without hesitation or warning, the beast shaped Tsuneo would vanish from plain sight, only to reappear seven feet behind Ken not even a second later. Rending a hand through the ground, Tsuneo would cast a sandstorm towards Ken, throwing mounds of dirt, sand, and small rocks towards him, only to then land on all fours, and dive through the sand towards Ken, moving in a spiral formation with his hands and legs coated with Sōton chakra. If his Taijutsu attacks were to land at all, they'd phase right through Ken and strike him internally. Tsuneo would avoid all vitals, and focus his assault on sending Ken backwards if anything. He had a plan, and this was just the first step. Taijutsu was his calling, and it was foolish for only a second year Genin to challenge a thirteen year Onoda.
Name: Yajū Hokō - Beast Walk Range: Self Jutsu Type: Taijutsu // Supplementary Elemental Affinity: Sōton - Phasing Clan: Onoda Description: A jutsu derived from Hebi Hokō and very reminiscent of Inuzuka techniques. By using the same basic principle, and Onoda Clan member will use their Sōton chakra to realign their vertebrae, ligaments, joints and the position of their limbs. This allows the Onoda Clan member to assume the form of a dog or a wolf. This jutsu will allow them to move much faster and gives them the advantage of moving with all four limbs. This increases their maneuverability and the acrobatic moves they can perform. The jutsu is sustained by a small and steady flow of Souton chakra, cycled within their body until they deactivate the jutsu. This jutsu also provides Onoda Clan member's with a greater amount of maneuverability, allowing them to turn on pinpoint and accelerate and decelerate much faster.

Tomoe simply rolled her eyes as Ken continued to spit insults like some sort of uncivilized twit. Did he honestly think that all that yelling would accomplish anything? If anything he was only ruining his chances of ever getting one of her feathers. But no matter, she'd already successfully managed to get both of the genin off of her case for the moment. Flying to the tree once more she made sure to find herself a nice spot to sit and watch the fight.
"Hade-chan1, how did you manage to get out of the Academy using such primitive tactics?" she called out mockingly to Ken. Laughing a little to herself her she would have continued to taunt the loud mouthed genin, but a searing pain rushed over her right eye and extended into her head. It was a familar pain, one that had numbed over time, but that did not make it any more comfortable.
That wasn't very nice Tomoe, Kon's voice resounded in her head in an almost playful tone. The bird quickly looked down at her master before letting out an amused huff. He had not moved from his spot against the fence, casually observing the two genin attempt to accomplish their task.
Which, so far, both were failing miserably.

" LIKE THE WIND I FLOW!!! "
He yelled out of the blue with his opponent behind him attempting to strike him with a strong technique. He wasn't a fool as many thought of him to be-- For he was expected a numerous amount of possibilities that his opponent could pull off in order to counter his charge. When he appeared behind Ken he wouldn't exact be suprised-- But at the same time it'd take quite some precise movements to dodge the attack. Dirt, Sand and small rocks didn't exactly hurt-- at all, but he also had a number of options if he wanted to stop his opponent in his tracks.
He thrusted his torso backwards quickly, Bending his knees and launching his entire body into the air as to soar right above the flailing Tsuneo. A set of In were formed as he pushed concentrated Chakra within his hands, thrusting them forwards towards Tsuneo's back releasing a violent gust of wind from each one of his hands, attempting to counter his attack. His body-- While still in the air-- Began to fall back towards the ground and with a thud he landed, On his head. Quickly he made his way to his feet and waited for his opponent to strike again.
" Ouch. "
He mumbled. That did hurt.
Fûton • Chikara [ Wind Release • Force ] C-ranked Ninjutsu, Defensive - Offensive, Far Range. A Fûton technique utilized by Shinjiro Ken, Fûton • Chikara requires the making of two In, and then gathering chakra into either hand. Afterwards Ken will thrust out his hand in a simple palm thrust, or a fist towards an opponent, sending a strong blast of wind towards his opponent.
The blast of wind spreads out three feet wide and only towards one direction, with the power of a strong fist to the area affected. At close range though, an up-close attack can knock out an opponent or throw them off their feet. Also effective against throwing weapons, the jutsu is capable of sending Shuriken and Kunai thrown towards the user back to the original person who threw them, yet the projectile can't be manipulated into any other direction besides where it originally came from.

So much for Taijutsu only.
Tsuneo had little time to react, and he was so caught up in changing the foundation of his plan that he couldn't dodge the wind being shot towards his back. Or was it his front? He was spinning, and he could hardly see anything due to the speed of the spin, but he did notice that whatever hit him, it was a Ninjutsu.
Striking the sandy ground with all fours in a skidding formation, Tsuneo kinked his neck back and released a snapping noise, followed by his shoulders and elbows coiling like before, only in the opposite direction. In a matter of seconds, his body reformed back to it's normal structure, and his pale blue eyes formed into a darker shade, activating the power of the Chōzetsugan. This match would no longer be limited to simple taijutsu techniques. Now, Tsuneo would take full advantage over his Kekkei Genkai.
Without forming In, Tsuneo thrusted a single hand forward, sending a fast wave of Sōton chakra towards Ken. The wave was extremely thin, but covered a fairly large distance. It was no longer than Tsuneo's body with his arms at his side. Spotting the wave would be difficult to even the trained eye however, as it was only chakra at a concentrated level, and looked like a wave or ripple in the air at a close range. The heat waves from the sand dunes did well to disguise the technique.
It wasn't over there however. The moment Tsuneo thrusted his arm forward, he was on the move. He ran in a circle around Ken, keeping the same distance. Once he was six feet away from his previous location, he slipped a hand into his tool pouch at his leg and flung two kunais with skilled precision. The target of the first kunai was Ken's shoulder, while the second one flew aimlessly past and over his head. No tags were placed on either of them.
Once the weapons left his hand, he would leap backwards and land with a crouch. His goal was to be at least twenty feet away from Ken. "Well well. Aren't you one to talk? Didn't you say something about honor earlier? If you had any left, you would have kept to your word and stuck with a Taijutsu fight. Oh well, I guess you really are weak ass scum. You probably live in the sewers too, don't you? Family kick you out? If you were my kin, I'd do the same." His gaze was piercing with his infamous poker face. While he didn't mean a single word of it, he still gave off a smug look to infuriate his opponent. Tsuneo held high respects to anyone who would go out of their way to try and beat him. No one ever did anything like that back in the Onoda complex, or in the academy.
Sure the kid got on his nerves every now and then, or well, every single waking moment since he's known him, but still. Tsuneo could sense a possible friendship between the two. If not though, he would enjoy beating Ken's face into the dirt.

This attack is completely invisible at Chūnin level and will not be seen by most opponent’s or even noticed. Though, slightly, this attack will make a small rushing sound like moving chakra or wind. At Jōnin level, this attack makes no sounds and is completely invisible.

It had seemed that Tsuneo was starting to believe that he was taking the league in this fight when in all honesty Ken wasn't putting forth much effort in pumping out Chakra-consuming techniques. So far he had only utilized two jutsu throughout the entire fight-- Which meant he still had quite the amount of chakra to spare. As his opponent shifted his body once more morphed his body around utilizing various jutsu and thrusted his hand towards his body he'd feel an amount of pain from the technique connecting.
He shook it off only to be followed up by a speedy Tsuneo circling him and tossing two kunai at him in rapid succession. As accurate as they were Ken launched his body into the air causing them to simply fly through the air around him. Tsuneo would put more distance between the two and begin talking down upon the boy. Ken reached into his pocket with a wide smile and pulled out two Kunai wrapped with an exploding tag on each of them, tossing them to both sides of the smug Tsuneo and causing them to explode as soon as they were near their target areas.
As soon as he'd land on the ground Ken would perform two In and wait to see what his opponent would do. He'd been slacking off the majority of the fight-- And he'd probably continue to slack off for the rest of the fight-- But sooner or later he'd have the upper-hand. Atleast he hoped.

He was already straightened, checking his surroundings for a moment. Ken had dodged the two weapons, along with the earlier jutsu with ease, proving how reckless Tsuneo had been. He was already beginning to feel the strain of his techniques. While he had a high stamina, it wasn't chakra that he was worried about. Using those techniques so close together put a massive strain on the muscles and cells, tiring him out quickly. He needed to take a rest, and it couldn't be underground. That would just push him to use more Sōton chakra.
Two tagged weapons were thrown at towards him, each with enough kick to easily knock him out. He had to avoid it, but he also needed to use the cover from the explosions to his advantage. His grandfather had taught him to use the opponent's weaknesses to his advantage, but so far, Ken wasn't showing any weaknesses or false moves. He was doing an excellent job. He was saving his chakra, and was using simple attacks to draw out Tsuneo's energy and exert him until he was too weak to defend himself.
I can't believe its taken me this long to notice how stupid I'm being... Jumping backwards to avoid the explosions, Tsuneo landed with another skid, hiding behind the dust and dirt thrown around by the tagged tools. He felt a sharp rush of pain in his left leg, followed by a pinch in his right ankle. Grandpa was right... I wasn't ready for Beast Walk... 'ch... what do I do now?
Testing his legs as the dust still stirred about, Tsuneo found that he could still move, but jumping around and kicking wouldn't be the wisest of choices. He'd have toe rely on his hands, and restrain himself from using any chakra. Sōton techniques were all he knew, and Sōton was limited in strategies that didn't involve phasing ones own cells. He had nearly forgotten why they were fighting in the first place. Right... the test...
... Wait a minute...
It was a test. The whole thing. The test was a test. Why form a team and then have your own students try to beat the living daylights out of each other for just a feather? Surely Kon would have stopped the fight by now if that wasn't the point, but he hasn't yet. It all makes sense.
The dust was fully cleared by now, and Tsuneo was already reaching to the zipper on his jacket. He dressed in blue today, wearing a long sleeve shirt even in the heat. With one smooth gesture, he flipped the coat off and ground his heel into the sand, staring at his open-toed sandals.
"The test is a test..."
He only mumbled, making it difficult for anyone to really hear. He rose a single hand, then pointed at Ken, pausing for a moment to let the breeze run against his face. "You make the next move. I'm tired of playing hit and run. If you're gonna get that feather, do your best. I'm sure you can beat me without any trouble."
His whole fighting pose was rather bland. Just a simple slouch with a tired face. He looked like he wasn't even trying anymore. Not to irritate Ken on purpose or anything like that, but because he was irritated at himself for being so stupid.
"If you don't make your move, then I surrender."

" That's no fun. I guess -- I -- Surrender. "
And with that he took a simple step backwards followed by a bow to his opponent and walked over to the shade of a nearby tree. " I'm done fighting-- You want us to fight eachother over a feather, Nonetheless from some stupid Pidgeon? You can shove it you Flying Poultry, And same to you Sensei. I'd rather eat that bird of yours than do this. " He stated outloud as to speak to all of his team. Whether they took full offence to it or didn't take him serious at all it didn't phase him. He was done and it was as simple as that. Now it was his sensei's time to make his way into the picture-- As all he and his bird had done was sit back and relax while Ken put forth 10% of an effort and Tsuneo performed his butt off.
" Dumb Pidgeon. "

As the two Genin continued to duke it out amongst themselves Kon decided to move a little closer to get a better view of their fight. While the two had missed the entire point of the exercise there was still something that Kon could gain from this. He would use this little battle between the two of them to judge their fighting styles, and to figure out how he was going to help develop these kids into functional shinobi cell.
Tsuneo seemed to be the one with all the fancy little tricks. Reversing jutsu, restructuing his skeletal system, and an arsenal of various other abilities...he'd make a good trump card. His biggest downfall at this point seemed to be his reckless use of his chakra. Ken on the other hand seemed to be a normal shinobi. No special clan jutsu. No kekkei genkai. Nothing of the sort. However this kid could fight, at least in the most basic of senses. He understood the importance of conserving his chakra and how to make the most of an opening. Ken's greatest flaw in Kon's eyes was simply his personality.
Are you going to fail them? Tomoe's voice spoke into Kon's head as he pushed off of the fence and began walking towards the two of Genin. Not bothering to answer the question he deactivated the Fūin that linked the two, causing the golden eye to return to its normal hue. With the connection broken so abruptly the nintaka huffed to herself and flew down to perch herself on her master's shoulder.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't send the both of you back to the Academy," Kon said as he looked at the two of them. There was no anger or disappointment in his eyes but curiousity instead. "I gave you two a simple assignment. Retrieve a feather, and you end up fighting amongst yourselves...," he paused for a moment as Tomoe giggled to herself. "And don't give me any bullshit about her telling you to do it. That in itself was a test. During this exercise she was your opponent. Will you so eagerly kill your allies because your enemy wants you to?" Shaking his head Kon crossed his arms over his chest and paused for a moment.
"You are a team now. Do you understand what that means?"
