----"Understanding beyond understanding."
The Ninjō are the descendants of one intelligent monk bent on the use of empathy to develop a new path for shinobi to follow. The monk saw the savagery of the human race and attempted to create a way to both control them and to also love them. It is through this foundation that the monk was able to create the Ninjō. The monk, after many years of training and attempted understanding, he was able to obtain perfect empathy and, when he did, he lost all sense of self. The monk became a mirror for those around him, and it was through this ability that he was able to obtain power. His eyes turned completely white, like a blank slate, and his body lost all ability to manipulate chakra as he had before. The monk spread his ability, teaching all he knew, until he had passed his ability to an appreciable number. The monk had died, but the Ninjō still live on, spreading his teachings. The Ninjō are scattered all over the world and work for peace, a world where understanding is complete.[/ul]Kekkei Genkai//Bloodline of the Clan

[ | Koishiigan [Beloved Eye] | ]
A Dōjutsu, called the Koishiigan [Beloved Eye], represents the foundation of the Ninjō Bloodline. The Koishiigan is, primarily, used for a single attack, strengthened within the Ninjō from the day they are born. The Koishiigan, by eye contact, allows a direct connection to an opponent's mind and, in that moment, the mind of the practitioner and the opponent will be completely linked. The Koishiigan, however, does not delve into thoughts or anything particularly temporary; the Koishiigan, in simpler terms, allows the practitioner a look into their opponent's soul. They will learn everything about their opponent, what they love, what they hate, what they believe in, what they dream of, and then the Ninjō practitioner will use that to their advantage. By using the Koishiigan, they will manipulate their emotions, their thoughts, and essentially their soul. The opponent will delve into a fake subconscious created by the Ninjō clan member. The Ninjō, from day one, are taught to be nothing but mirrors. They are typically devoid of thoughts and emotions, which allows them to better use their abilities. Their great affinity for empathy allows them to think, breathe, and essentially be anyone. Once an opponent and a Ninjō clan member are locked within Koishiigan, the clan member will begin to overload their opponent's system. The link between them is comparable to a Genjutsu technique, but not exactly. An opponent can break the base Genjutsu by simply using Kai, for lower ranks, or other methods of breaking the connection, however a residual effect will continually remain. The opponent will continually receive an overload of emotions and feelings that will clutter the brain and, eventually, lead the opponent to become unable to battle, thus, shutting them down. Maximum effects, such as incapacitation, can only be obtained while two people are linked and the link has been maintained a total [over a number of posts] five posts. Otherwise, it will simply be harder and harder for an opponent to think and their body will begin to shut down. Most often the effects of the Koishiigan will directly target the brain stem, which is directly responsible for base functions as breathing, survival, pleasure, etc. Cluttering this portion of the brain can cause the temporary failure of some organ systems which will return to completely normal after a number of hours. The Koishiigan will appear to be a simple continuation of the whites of a person's eyes and, once a connection is made, the Koishiigan will mirror their opponent's eye, even if it is a Dōjutsu. It is nothing more than a copy of appearance, however, and abilities will not be shared. Additionally, once the connection of the Koishiigan is made, the Ninjō practitioner will take on the personality of their opponent and, from there, their battle patterns will mirror them.
[ | Bakenokawa [Masking One's True Character] | ]
The Ninjō, from birth, can cannot control natural elements and chakra. They, however, possess something different within the place of normal elements. Bakenokawa is the name of the energy from which the Ninjō draw their power. Bakenokawa has comparable properties to that of chakra save for one thing: it can mirror any element in form. It cannot mirror an ability, but only a form. For example, after the use of the Koishiigan, the user will understand that their opponent uses water. From that moment onward all Bakenokawa techniques will appear as water techniques. Bakenokawa energy will have a very different effect than most chakra. Upon impact, the Bakenokawa will spread and will act much like fire. However, instead of burning materials, it rather steals life energy. For example, if Bakenokawa energy impacts a flower and some grass, the flower will die and turn black as will the grass. All that will remain will be a husk of the normal plant. If Bakenokawa energy happens to impact a person it will burn the chakra of the opponent immediately. With a direct hit a comparable C-Ranked attack will burn a C-Ranked amount of energy. The Ninjō clan member will not obtain this energy from their opponent, however, and it will only dissipate. Because of this ability, the Ninjō are extremely gifted in Taijutsu so that when they, and their opponent, no longer have any chakra to use jutsu, they may fight with their fists.[/ul]Clan Information
----"Stronger together than apart."
- Population :: The Ninjō are a Class C clan with a good number of members spread all over the continent. The Ninjō often have light eyes with varying hair colors. The most common eye color is blue and the most common hair color is brown. The Ninjō wear neutral clothing, whites, tans, and grays, with very few adornments. The Ninjō are not frivolous in nature and will not often carry loads of equipment or anything for that matter.
- Nature//Values :: The Ninjō can be considered good, at the base. Their particular abilities, however, allow them to adopt other personalities for a temporary time. The Ninjō can be unpredictable because of this and are sometimes considered wild cards. However, the Ninjō work toward understanding which is neither completely good nor bad. One could say, then, that they rather fall somewhere toward the middle of the ideological spectrum.[/ul]

OOC TIDBITS: I don't want the Ninjō to become GMing Power-houses. The goal of the clan, and all of it's members, is to understand everyone around them. Not by knowing everything that they know, but by understanding how they feel, and treat them accordingly. From birth, they are taught all about emotions, and the opposites of each emotion, in order to counter balance sadness with joy, and maintain a level of peace.
Through understanding, conflict is hardly ever to arise, as the goal of the Ninjō is to meet everyone in the eye, and both love and understand them. Because of their training and beliefs, there is no reason to even get into a fight with anyone, as this clan is meant to be played through casual RP. It's members do not frown on violence however, because they are taught not to, but they will always chose a different path if one is available.
If any member is caught fighting without a reason, or engaged in a fight without a reason, I am going to have to ask you to forfeit the fight, then proceed to delete your character, as it goes against the teachings of the Ninjō. This also applies to casual sparring, as even sparring is considered an act of violence, which goes against the teachings of the Ninjō. Only fight if there is no other way to avoid the conflict. You'd be surprised how many ways there are to get out of a fight without actually fighting.
Bakenokawa can be used outside a fight only under the condition that it is to be used in order to stop a chakra based attack from harming themselves or another. The Ninjō will go out of their way to help others, but will remain neutral in all of their actions. If someone is in danger, they will assist the victim without assisting, by stopping the fight all together, even if it means putting themselves in danger. While they base themselves on understanding others, they will not tolerate acts of violence towards both the innocent and the guilty.
