[/b]PERSONAL
Name: Ishii Batō
Alias: N/A
Age: Seventeen
Gender: Male
Blood-Type: O
Date of Birth: May 13th
Relatives: Ishii Shang Ma
Personality:Not someone to be pushed around, Bato doesn't take kindly when receiving lip from anyone. And when such a thing goes down, he tends to speak his mind, often. To him, respect is earned, and ain't handed out like ice cream on a hot summer day. To those who display unwavering will, power, generosity, kindness, compassion, and caring are frequently able to gain his respect quicker then those who remain cold, or have the mentality of what Kirigakure once was; brutal.
Because of his personality, he butts heads with authority on his fair share of occasions, never wanting to back down, especially when he believes he's right. This also gives him the mentality to never give up, to keep scratching and clawing his way until his point is made, clear as day. Despite his amazing ability to clash with any sort of figurehead, he's a rather mellow fella, enjoying the ocean breeze on his face while lounging around in a hammock, sipping on a pina colada, and getting caught in the rain.
Getting past his rough, tough guy exterior, Batō is a big softy, like a harmless teddy bear, and will risk life and limb to protect those close to him. Surrounding himself with people he's comfortable hanging with is his only gripe, for when the opposite occurs, he seems to change. When uncomfortable, he can be shy, oblivious, and show signs of weakness.

Background:
Born to two loving parents, the odd couple had waited nine long months before finally getting to see their beautiful baby boy. Into their late thirties, the happy couple had decided against raising a child for much of their life, though after being granted an early retirement, they were finally able to bare their first and only child together. Boy, did that little angel grow up fast. When he was four, his father had already begun teaching him the basics, wanting his only child to be a step ahead of the game. Though like any ordinary kid, he was all fun, and play. Working, or fighting never really came to the young lad, but could you blame him? Entering the academy, the nice guy image of his slowly began to split, fading away. Again, could you blame him? Kids his age were always pesky, mean, ganging up on others for their own petty amusement, just to get on extra laugh in, or to just see the reactions on the kids face when they were brought to the brink of tears.
Stuff like that angered him, which caused Batō to become a protector of sorts. Though like anything, the kid was far from impenetrable. In fact, he learned the hard way, through many bumps and bruises that life itself wasn't very forgiving. It was a lesson many learned later in their days, some never at all; but he was one of the lucky ones. Along with trying to become a shinobi like his parents, Batō took up street fighting. It wasn't the flashiest of things to watch, and left him with many bloody knuckles, scrapes, black eyes, and bruises-- yet he enjoyed the hell out of it. Just scrapping with a guy toe-to-toe, mono-e-mono, there was nothing better, nothing more satisfying. Hell, even getting chewed out by his parents didn't seem to phase the boy for long, until finally, everything seemed to come crashing down, bit by bit.
His father was the first to go, leaving both Batō and his mother to carry the work load, scrapping together whatever scraps they could, to just get by, to keep going on for one more day. It was some picnic, some journey. Luckily, things started to get better as the boy was made a Genin. And with the money he was able to scavenge together, he helped his mom keep their home, even managing to refurbish some of the worn down furniture around the house. Life had finally been looking up at them. Rewarding Batō for his incredible feat, his mother had managed to scrape together some cash, buying the boy his first scarf. Delighted to receive the gift, Batō treasured it unlike anything else, besides his moms of course. She was the glue that held them together, and without her, he knew continuing to live on would just be meaningless. And so, as the Chunin exams rolled around for the final term of the year, Batō had entered it, with high hopes.
Time and time again, he was faced with adversity, coupled together with incredibly powerful people, who just seemed to eat thunder and crap lightning. He was out of his league, out of that place of homage, yet his perseverance, that will lingering in the back of his thick head had allowed him to continue on. Though as he embarked on his unusual travels to shinobi stardom, Batō was faced with adversity yet again. And in the midst of being struck down, consumed by the burning embers of a fellow shinobi; he was saved. Not by his kin, a friend, or even an acquaintance. In fact, the young girl who hailed from Konohagakure wasn't like anything he had come to suspect. Showing that act of kindness, well, it changed him. For the better. As the exams continued, Batō found himself face to face with the same girl who had saved his hide back then. Returning the favor, he forfeited his chance at reaching the stars, giving the young gal the perfect opportunity to become a Chunin; and she had. Upon giving her his congratulations, she returned his kindness with a peck on the cheek, soon followed by the brightest of blushes ever witnessed by mankind. She had changed his outlook on life, rekindling that old "nice guy" persona that he used to carry so proudly on his shoulders. Though a little bad boy was added in here and there.
As four months passed on by, Batō found himself at the exams once more. Though this time, he'd take the moment, reaching for the stars, and grabbing a hold of that thing called destiny, shaping it in his very own image. When returning to Kirigakure, he was marked as a hero, giving a job well done. Though that was soon changed as his life of daydreaming, lounging, and laziness, was kick started into a full blown job. Helping with the Chunin exams, while aiding the Academy when the surplus of teachers was at an all-time low, Batō gradually worked his way up the ladder, earning his colors. Upon becoming a Tokubetsu Jōnin, Batō didn't allow the title to get to his head. Still humble, avoiding praise whenever such was given, still drawing to pass the time on by, enjoying himself and the people he has come to know as his Nakama, the boy continues to grow, while never forgetting who he is.
