She was grateful he wouldn't use the jutsu anymore since it was a shocker. She only giggled softly when he said that she could read him like a book. To be honest, she could see it in his eyes since she was very careful with her choice of words.
A small playful smile appeared on her lipsabout telling her to keep up, "Fine by me," she stated simply as she jumped up the same tree he did and caught up with him. She had plenty of chakra to spare since being a medic-nin required it so she wouldn't tire easily. Her gaze watched him closely but the same time paying attention to her surroundings.

Kazu continued to jump from branch to branch, even as she had caught up to him. Glancing over at her as she observed her surroundings he smirked slightly to himself, and started to increase his speed. At the moment he wasn't even going at half his full speed, which was good because he wanted her to follow him instead of him losing her. Though, that didn't mean he wouldn't try to turn this into a little game to help pass the time of traveling.
Speeding up until he was at least three trees ahead of her he glanced back at her. "You seem to be pretty agile, keeping up with me like this," he commented lightly as he continued to make his way towards the stream. "I take it that you must have had some kind of shinobi training, correct?" Kazu asked, figuring that she must have had some sort of training. A normal citizen wouldn't be able to jump from tree to tree so effortlessly, or even keep up with Kazu for that matter.

A small smirk graced her soft lips, "You have no idea how agile I can be. And yes... I am under a strict training of a shinobi," she commented as her pace quickened with no problems and was within one tree jump from him. She suddenly dropped below a tree branch level and moved under him. She glanced up at him with a wink, "Show me you got more in you, I haven't had a chance to do a full out race like this in quite a while."

She was a kunoichi. He had figured that out about her, which meant that he really couldn't let his guard down around her. Though, it also meant that he could have a little more fun with her now that he knew that she wasn't some helpless little civilian woman. Smirking slightly to himself he glanced back, only to find out that she was no long behind him. "What the...," he muttered under his breathe before hearing her voice call out from beneath him. "Oh," he said to himself as he glanced down to see her running below him.
When she blatantly challenged him to a race he laugh. "You have no idea what you're up against," Kazu told her as he moved two trees ahead and jumped down from the tree, landing in a crouched position. When she had gotten close to him he spoke again. "But if it's a race you want....then so be it," he said, the smirk still present on his face. After he had said that he sprinted off, kicking up dust in his wake. He was using his Kaisoku ability, moving much faster than he was previously. Within that short time he had already moved five trees ahead of her, still laughing slightly to himself.

"I probably don't but it's one way of find out more about you," she responded simply watching him closely. When he jumped two trees ahead and suddenly stopped, she frowned. When he suddenly gained distance she rose an eyebrow, 'Must be a jutsu or something... for a normal shinobi it takes at least 2 seconds longer to reach that distance that fast...' she mused as her speed quickened leaving her back a little less than the distance of two trees.

Kazu's speed, as incredible as it was, wasn't all that special at all. It came from years of difficult training that Kazu put himself through in order to prove that physical strength wasn't the only thing that mattered, and that speed would prevail over all. No chakra was used to quicken his steps, there were no fancy tricks to it. No, this was simply the result of Kazu's hard work, and he would gladly show it off any chance he got.
Looking back to make sure that she wasn't too far behind him Kazu was mildly surprised, and somewhat impressed that she was keeping up with him. "Ah, looks like you are keeping up with me. Maybe you will put up a challenge," he said teasingly, and started to move a little faster. Glancing around at his surroundings he swiftly make a sharp left turn, not giving any indication that he was about to change direction.

A small giggle escaped her, "You have no Idea. With me... I may not rely on just my body for the speed, but a little chakra added to the mix is all I need," she stated as she bolted after him from the sudden turn. She sudden sprinted next to him and gave him a small wink, "As a matter of fact, being a medical-nin requires me to have plenty of chakra to spare," she added, giving away a little more information about her, as she sped ahead of him about three tree lengths. She knew she couldn't keep this up for much longer since she needed to have chakra in case there was a sudden need for her to turn to her abilities as a medic.

After he took that sharp left turn Kazu pulled a kunai from his weapon's pouch. Twirling it around his finger the little light from the moon reflected off of it for a few seconds, allowing it to give off a noticable shine. What was he going to do with this kunai? He wasn't exactly sure to say the truth, but he felt that he should have it out. He wasn't going to attack her, not unless he felt threatened - which he didn't. Once again he would look back for a brief moment to see just how far behind him she was. A smirk crossed his lips when he saw her catching up to him.
"Ohoho! You're pretty good, but don't try and over do it!" he called out to her in an almost taunting voice. Looking around at the scenery he could tell they were going to arrive at the stream soon, so he was going to make a beeline towards it - going all out. "Just keep going straight," he said as he channeled his chakra to his feet, and increased his speed. In an instant he seemingly disappeared from his spot, and dashed forward - causing fallen leaves to pick up. It didn't take long for him to reach near the stream, but as a side effect from going so fast his vision was distorted. So distorted that he failed to notice the root infront of him, which tripped him, causing him to tumble for several feet before crashing into a tree. After the collision he just laid there, blood starting to pour from his forehead. "Shit....," he muttered under his breathe as he slowly started to fade into unconsciousness.

She only smiled at his taunting voice though when he suddenly said keep going straight she was caught by surprise when he suddenly vanished. A soft escaped her lips and she shook her head, slowly down a little bit to avoid using anymore chakra. After a little bit she blinked, utterly confused as to why Kazu was on the ground not moving. She quickly dropped down from the trees and raced over to him with a frown on her face, "That was kind of stupid," she commented as she quickly but gently moved kazu to a slightly different position. There was no broken bones from what she could sense, only bleeding from where went face first into a tree. She gently lifted his head into her lap to make it a little easier and comfortable for Kazu as she placed a cloth over the wound to slow the bleeding. "Shôsen no Jutsu," she said quickly as she formed fast handseals. Placing a hand where the wound was, after removing the towel, her hand glowed a light blue color. The blood slowly stopped bleeding as the skin sealed closed. 'It could have been worse...' she thought dully as the skin finally closed completely after 20 minutes. All that was left was a very light scar that could only be seen upon close inspection. A tired sigh escaped Maiha's lips as she cleaned the remaining blood from Kazu's head.

As Kazu slowly faded into unconsciousness he couldn't help but curse at himself. He had let his cockiness get the better of him, and because of it he got himself hurt. Now, he was slipping out of consciousness with an unknown shinobi coming behind him. Now she was going to do one of a number of things. She could kill him, take his belongings, kidnap him, or the unlikely things...heal him. Fortunately for him she had chosen the last thing, and closed his bleeding wound.
After about twenty-five minutes Kazu started to regain his consciousness, and felt something warm touching the back of his head. Not really certain as to what was going on, he knew that the pain in his head had dulled down to a faint throb. Opening his right eye slightly he saw Maiha, and a very faint smirk started to form as he looked up at her cleavage. Heh heh, I am a lucky man..., he thought to himself as he closed his eye.

It wasn't a likely thing for Maiha to be so careful and considerate with a stranger but Kazu was a slightly different case. He was of course helping her search for her little myth. Maiha figured he'd remain in uncousiousness for a little while longer since it was a pretty hard blow to the skull. She didn't bother moving his head from being craddled against her thighs figuring it'd help keep him a little more comfortable then having it lay against the ground. She hadn't notice him coming to so Maiha lay completely unaware. A Looking down at Kazu she gently carressed his cheek with her hand hoping it would get him to come to or something.

As Kazu laid there for a a couple more minutes he spent that time thinking. Thinking about how he could turn this situation even more in his favor. She was stroking his cheek, been doing so ever since he had come to, and he wasn't exactly sure why she was doing it. Nevertheless, he simply chalked it up that she couldn't resist but touch his face while she had been given the opportunity of him being unconscious.
Thinking back to when they first met he remembered that he thought he saw a blush, and so he forced two and two together. There was no other explaination. She liked him, yeah, that was it. Why else would she be stroking his cheek with his head in her lap? By this point Kazu had completely forgotten about his previous head wound, and the smirk began to grow slightly. "Geez, Nanami-san. Didn't know you cared about me so much," he said as he opened his left eye some to look up at her.

At the sound of his voice she blinked and tilted her head to the side slightly, "Just doing what I must," she stated as she stopped stroking his cheek now that he gave some recognition that he regained consiousness. She leaned back and placed her hands behind her for support, not bothering to really force him get off her lap, even if she was wearing a skirt for that matter. "So how does your head feel?" she asked with a small smile on her lips. As she looked down at him in her lap.

Noticing her reaction Kazu sighed silently to himself. Perhaps his well thought out assumption was wrong. Nevertheless, the night had only just began, or he thought it had. He still wasn't sure how long he had been out, but that really didn't matter to him. Feeling her hand stop stroking his cheek he opened up his other eye, looking up at her as she rested her hands behind her head. "How long was I out?" he asked her, deciding to keep his head resting on her lap.
When she asked him how was his head doing everything came back to him. He had slammed head first into that tree, surely he would have busted his head open or something. Touching his forehead he felt nothing. No blood, no wound, nothing. Blinking he looked up at her, stunned almost. "You're a medical-nin?"

"Ummm.... somewhere between 20 to 25 minutes I think," she answered after a moment or two. She sat up up and leaned forward slightly placing her hands on either side of her as she looked down at Kazu, "Yep, why do you think I could keep up at the pace you were puting me with when we raced? I have chakra to spare but only so much because I need to make sure I have some in case of an emergency," she commented her voice taking a teasing ring to it when she commented on abotu emergencies. She lightly poked his nose teasingly and winked, "Good thing I really didn't push the limits of my chakra or you may still be bleeding now."
