Sacred Swords of the Kages
Name: Densetsu no Kyoukan (Maurauder’s Legend) Abilities: N/A Chakra Nature: N/A Background: The Densetsu no Kyoukan is the first addition to Shou’s collection. It was the famous sword that the Shodai Mizukage used in his numerous attacks on the villages who would not join the newly formed Kirigakure no Sato.
The “Maurauder’s Legend” was stolen between the Nidaime and Sandaime’s reign. It was said that the night after Nidaime died, several artifacts were stolen from his chambers, the most valuable of them being the Nidaime and the Shodai’s swords. From this, the rumor of his death being an assassination was born. After Shou became the Mizukage, one of his first tasks were to gather all of Mizu no Kuni’s swords of legend and have them brought to Kiri to be in his possession. On this crusade, the sword was found to be in possession of the Dobyakushou clan. The clan leader claimed that it had been passed from his father to himself, and that the sword originated from their clan, and stolen by the Shodai before he became the first Mizukage. He claimed that they had not stolen it, but someone returned it to his father years ago. Shou, unsympathetic to the man, had his whole clan executed for crimes against the Mizukage.
Name: Karasunaki Abilities: Unknown Chakra Nature: Futon Background: The Karasunaki was the sword forged for the Sandaime Mizukage. He never used it, however, because it is said that the sword meant too much to him to be used in battle. It was forged by the son of Zet no Inshi, a Zetsumei blacksmith that had followed his father’s footsteps as a blacksmith, and had forged a sword for each of the Mizukages since Nidaime. Although Nidaime’s sword was never found after his death, the blacksmith still forged swords for the following Mizukages.
Name: Chinuru no Jouyoku Abilities: Unknown Chakra Nature: Suiton Background: This sword was forged especially for Shou by the son of Zet no Inshi. Shou does not fight with this sword, as in the tradition of the kage's before him.

The Swords of Zet no Inshi
According to legend of the villagers outside of Kirigakure no Sato, he was a sorcerer who had the ability to conjure fire from the sky, poison from the earth, and to make frost and ice from his breath. He was said to have lived in seclusion on the shores of northern Mizu no Kuni, but he traveled across the word to forge his magical swords, which all had the ability to give the user powers such as his.
The man behind the myth was actually a well known blacksmith and shinobi from Kirgakure no Sato, and member of the Zetsumei clan, who had defected from the village in it’s infancy. Kiri was just sprouting and becoming recognized among the much older Hidden Villages, but opposed to the Nidaime’s mercenary tactics, he was expelled from the village and cut off from the Zetsumei Clan, forcing him to shorten his surname. He was a master in Katon, Suiton, and Dokuton, and used these abilities as energy and muse for forging three powerful swords. The manner in which he forged them is unknown.
All three swords are now in the Mizukage’s possession, displayed as relics of the history of Mizu no Kuni, retrieved from the tomb of Zet no Inshi.
Name: Kagutsuchi no Mikoto Abilities: Unknown Chakra Nature: Katon Background: This sword was said to have been forged in a volcano high in the mountains near Hi no Kuni by the master swordsmith who had also forged the Tsutaurushi and the Ikameshii Tokushikou. Much is still unknown about this sword and it’s powers.
Name: Tsutaurushi Abilities: Unknown Chakra Nature: Dokuton, Doton Background: Another of the swords forged by Zet no Inshi. This one was fabled to have venomous cut so poisonous that not even the Zetsumei clan could forge an antidote for it. Thus, one cut from this sword is fatal.
Name: Ikameshii Tokushukou Abilities: Unknown Chakra Nature: Suiton, Hyouton Background: This sword was said to have been the only of the three swords not completely forged by Zet no Inshi. This was his last sword, but it was said that he fell ill during the annealing process, and his young apprentice, an orphan boy from a neighboring village, had to help him complete it. Inshi instructed the boy, step by step how to finish the sword, and once it had been tempered enough, he rose from his sick bed and finished detailing the blade and the hilt, then infused it with his last bit of chakra and died.

Other Swords
Name: Kyuuchuusanden Abilities: N/A Chakra Nature: N/A Background: This sword was made as a gift for the Daimyo of Mizu no Kuni by an acclaimed blacksmith from Chirigakure no Sato, famous for his craftsmanship. After hearing of this rare jewel of a blade, Shou had a special team of ANBU intercept the gift and kill the band of ninja delivering it. The blade was then brought back to the village and added to his collection.
