Tears welled up in the young girl's shiny bubble gum eyes as her gaze fell upon her small house. Well, what was left of it anyway. The problem with living in the Hidden Rock village was that things hid under rocks regardless of whether you wanted to hide them there or not. Kaibachi's tiny hand-made hut was no exception, the humble home in splinters under a massive boulder that rolled down the mountain behind it. A few people looked on with pitiful expressions though nobody stopped to actually help or offer the orphan any condolensces.
She stood trembling a few feet awa from the wreckage, threatening to burst with tears before a lone bee landed on the back of her hand and nudged it. As if involuntarily, her expression righted itself and she looked down at the bee on her hand with a curious gaze.
"W-whats that? " She sniffed. "You're right! Why didn't I think of that?"
Kaibachi giggled with excitement as she ran towards the center of the Kamizuru district with her tiny arms flailing behind her.
---------------------------------------
Half an hour later, there was a table set up next to the main road just before the hustle and bustle of the city and it was lined with jars filled to the brim with rich, golden, honey.
"Disaster Relief! Buy a jar, help rebuild a home!"
Behind her was a swarm of bees, their melodious buzz drawing the atention of all who walked by. Every so often, they would whirl through the air and spell out various sayings to attract customers to her little stand like "The Best Honey in Iwa" or "Kaibachi's Honey". Her rosey cheeks were stretched out to either side with her adorable, toothy grin as she awaited her customers.

The brim of a sandy yellow straw hat covered the bright blue hues of the Yondaime Tsuchikage. He had made the executive decision to take a small stroll through the village and enjoy the many pleasant sites of the village that he was currently leading. Within moments he saw a band of young genin boys wrestling in the former public execution ground.
Smiling he passed through waving to his villagers and encouraging the child who had been losing the spar to not quit and persevere through. After finishing through the main square of the village, he found himself passing through the formerly prominent Kamizuru district. He knew first hand how they had been ravaged by the war. Soon after, Makido saw another unsettling event.
The home of a small child, had been mostly destroyed by a boulder. However, the hint of a grin was seen as he saw her makeshift business. Walking up to her, he lifted the straw hat revealing his generous blue hues. "I'll buy one of those ma'am, how much?" He asked expecting the girl had never been called ma'am before.

"Tsuchikage....sama" She stared up at the man, no, the legend with wide eyes and the bees instinctively stopped their display as a sign of respect to the most revered man in the village. Kaibachi was admitatedly a little star struck though it didn't last very long. She shook her head, snapping out of the daze and held the jar up to the man. She had to stand on her tip-toes and even then, her small stature prevented her from reaching him.
"That'll be 1000 Ryo."
Part of the swarm swopped down from above and collectively grabbed the jar and placed it in the man's reach. When they relieved her of the jar, she dropped back down to her flat feet and beamed up at her first customer.
"My house was broken so I have to build a new one."
She pointed to the pile of splinters underneath the huge stone a few hundred feet to her left.
"But Kiji told me that he and his family could help me by making honey for me to sell so I'm not sad. This one is Kiji."
Kaibachi held the bee up on the back of her hand and cuddled it to her face as if it were a kitten.

The Yondaime Tsuchikage's looked a little awkwardly as the little pink haired genin became completely star struck. He hadn't quite yet come used to his popularity and his celebrity that came with being the Tsuchikage. He held the jar of honey, and examined it. The honey itself looked of a very fine quality. However, the jar that it had been encased in was somewhat, not. In all reality, it was a terrible deal but he was no where near about to prevent this cute little girl from having a home.
He had money to spare, and ultimately decided to invent in this project of the girl, but first there was quite the obstacle that was in the shape of a boulder crushing her already existent home. He was sure there was no way that she would be able to fund this whole project by herself. But where were her parents
"Where are your parents little girl?" Makido questioned her.

Kaibachi grabbed held the money to her chest and squeezed it tight in an embrace that was generally reserved for puppies as the Tsuchikage spoke. It was as if she didn't hear him speak and his question went unanswered for all of ten seconds before she batted her wide eyes and smiled.
"Oh, them?"
Her money was shoved into her narow pockets with some difficulty, made most evident by the straining expresion on her face.
"I don't know. My aunty told me that they were prisoners of war but I don't remember them. I've lived by my self for a while."
She finished her sentence with a wide grinned, eye closed smile as the bees behind her convulged in a puffy black cloud and flew up under the Kamizuru Genin. They lifted her up a few feet so that she was eye level with Makido.
"I have 15,684 brothers and sisters so I don't get lonely."

Makido pondered to himself, here he was standing in front of a young girl whose house had just been demolished and that her parents had both been prisoners of war. He had been nicknamed the Kokoro no Shodaime(Heart of the First) by the people of his village. In this instance in which Makido's heart string had been sufficiently tugged on he felt morally obligated to help this girl out. Formulating an idea, the braincells of the Yondaime Tsuchikage began firing off and a proverbial lightbulb flashed above his cranium. He figured from what he could gather of the girls appearance and age, that she was genin and as a genin she would need missions to go on to. That would be her new source of income.
Taking a step back, he stood straight pushing up the brim of his glasses past the edge of his nose. Folding his arms into the long fold of his shirt he spoke to the girl. "Unknown Iwagakure no Sato shinobi please address yourself; your name and rank." Makido spoke probably sure that these strange actions would at the least intrigue her attention.

Her face dropped, eyes wide as a blank expression replaced her smile. Her mouth opened slightly, as if his question set her into a daze. For a moment, it was as if she wasn't there anymore; her mind was wandering elsewhere. Shaking her head she snapped back into reality and stared deep into the Tsuchikage's eyes. Slowly, almost unnoticibly, the cloud of bees that was carrying Kaibachi hovered closer to Makido. Up and down, it bobbed as the gentle buzz of the dosile insects grew into a melodius hum.
"I'm Kaibachi."
She said it as if it were the most obvious answer anyone could have given.
"Err...Kamizuru Kaibachi. Genin of Iwgakure no Sato, Tsuchikage-sama!"
With the latter sentence, she straightened her posture and brought her hand up to her forehead in a solute. She remembered it was the Tsuchikage who was adressing her and deserved her respect.

Taking a small breath inward, Makido silently acknowledged the song the large number of bees had been singing towards him. He had never heard the consistent buzz of this many bees at one time but he wouldn't let it throw off his concentration. He needed to officially give this girl shinobi missions. After all, that's what she had been trained for and the reason that she had not been on a team was quite shocking to the Tsuchikage.
"Kamizuru Kaibachi, you are hereby assigned to report to the Tsuchikage manor for mission briefing immediately. Your wage for success of such mission will be explained to you upon completion." Makido spoke, speaking to the girl like he would any of his other ANBU or Jōnin shinobi. However, her mission would be no where near as difficult as one of their's would be.
"Do you accept?" He questioned...figuring that she would.

If it was possible, Kaibachi's eyes grew wider, brighter, and more full of energy then they had been all day. She inhaled loudly, uttering a squeek that expressed her mounting excitement better then any words could and she had the strange urge to tackle the man in the kind of loving embrace that only a child of such innocence could give though her more mature side thought it innaproriate. However, her bees did sense her joy and they shot up straight into the air like a rocket.
"Wooohoooo!"
She cheered as she flew higher and higher into the air. After about fifty meters or so, the bee cloud descended and a more composed Kaibachi was sitting on top of it with her head bowed in a manner that was traditional for shinobi adressing their superior.
"I accept, Tsuchikage-sama."
Her excitement remained evident through the bright coloring of her cheeks and the twinkle in her eyes.

"Excellent" Makido said once more readjusting his glasses. He had a good idea of the mission that he wanted Kaibachi to go on to. But another question began to ponder into the mind of the Tsuchikage. She lived on her own, and she was not apart of any standard genin cell. He wondered how many shinobi techniques she knew. Obviously being apart of a clan, she would know theirs...or would she, living alone and isolated could potentially knew that she didn't know any techniques; and as Makido was concerned he would not allow a shinobi to be neglected of perfectly good opportunities.
It was ironic, that he as the Tsuchikage would be giving a genin lessons. As not twenty years earlier the same thing happened to him. "We have no time to waste, please follow me to Tsuchikage manor." Makido spoke, not waiting for her reply and instead walking back to his home.

"Hai."
The Genin floated behind the Tsuchikage, suspended on a bed of bees. She had been a Genin for a few weeks by that time but the announcement never made it to her mailbox about her being placed on any squad. It may have been that there were an odd number of Genin that year or perhaps an oversight, but Kaibachi waited patiently for that day to arrive when she would have a team to call her own.
As they pushed forward, she noticed the group of boys who had been wrestling were now lying on a patch of grass, their chests pounding with their heavy breathing. Both of them were bruised and they had a few scratches on their faces and arms but it didn't seem as if they were angry with one another. In fact, they were smiling. Kaibachi was a bit perplexed though she pushed the thought to the back of her mind and replaced it with another: the notion of a real mission. It would be her first as a Genin, her first as a full fledged shinobi.
'I wonder what I get to do...'

Walking briskly Makido noticed the grunts and swears of two teenage boys training most likely in Taijutsu. A smile crossed his lips as he saw the future of his village training their skills to one day develop enough skill to defend their village. It was a warm thought that etched itself into the mind of the Tsuchikage, the fact that the youth would one day surpass the elders and would lead Iwagakure no Sato long after he was dead.
Makido and Kaibachi marched outpast the outskirts into the heart of the village. Met with respective bows from his peeps, Makido waived to his shinobi hoping that they were all having quite a good afternoon. After all, on this day the sun shined bright, the landscape looked exceptionally enthralling and a large cloud of bees had been filling their air with their joyous song.
Past the heart of the village, was Tsuchikage manor. It had been the same house lived in by each of the previous Tsuchikage. They all had a room on honor to them. Climbing the small path, and entering his home he began to pass through the many elaborate hallways.
His home in itself was an architectural masterpiece. Each room perfectly cut to square without a blemish to ruin it. Sliding a glass door at the end of the hallway, the pair would emerge into a garden of sorts. Many exotic flowers lined the ground, and a large magnificent Koi pond had been dug all around them. In the center there was a large smooth ring.
It was a training ground, and before Kaibachi could complete her first mission, Makido would need to assess her abilities. "Are you ready?" He asked her removing the straw hat which covered his face.

Kaibachi had always imagined what the Tsuchikage's manor looked like though never in her life had she invisioned it to be so extravagent. She was speechless as she took in each sight and wondered what mysteries lied behind each door. By that point, she was walking on her own feet. Her bees had toned down their buzzing to a low hum and they trailed behind the curious Genin in a straight line. As she peered up at the tapestry to her left, she bumped into the end table behind her and the vase on top began to wobble. She steadied it before it fell and hurried up after Makido.
The training grounds was like something out of a dream. It was a taijutsu user's paradise and though she relied on her ninjutsu more then anything, she would feel honored to even step foot in the ring. She was so enthralled by its beauty and serenity that she almost didn't hear Makido's question.
"Am I...ready?"
She spoke not to the Tsuchikage but to herself, repeating his question to make sure she heard it right. When the realization hit her that he was challenging her to a spar, her hair stood on end. She was quiet and it was as if a shadow was covering her face. Her entire body was still until a shigh escaped her lips.
"I'm always ready!"
The Genin cartwheeled into the ring and began firing jabs at opponents that weren't really down.
"Pow. pow. boom"

He followed suit to the young girl stepping into the large ring. It was by far large enough to hold the two combatants. He stepped in the middle his face solemn, and his fists clenched. He took off his light brown overcoat revealing his lime green and blue shinobi outfit. It was tightfitting but made of a special fabric that breathed exceptionally well for taijutsu combat. He had one of two choices on how he could take this spar, his mothers side Shōtsubame or his fathers Tetsutora.
The large green training rings gleamed across his hands and feet. The large green Jade discs were a standard part of his training, given to him in his adolescence. The four discs combined potentially weighing the same amount as the young girl. One last time using his index and middle fingers he adjusted the glasses on his nose.
His arms were extended outwards his left higher than his right and open. His left slightly lower and clenched. His right foot was back perpendicular to his left. His perfect taijutsu stance. "You first." Makido spoke waiting to judge the skill of the girl.

Despite her small stature and almost abnormally youthful appearance, the Genin was quite talented when it came down to one on one spars. She had a connection with her bees, an understanding that transcended the mundaine and fractured communication between man and beast. The swarm was her arms and her legs. They were here heart and soul on the battle field. They were her eyes when she couldn't see and her ears when she couldn't hear. With the rallying clap, the smacking of her palms together, the swarm that had been trailing her and several more bees that happened to be in the area flew towards her. Half of the swarm was on her right side and the other half on her left.
"I'm going to show you why they call me the...ummm...welll they call me...ummm...it was something really cute, but anyway...I'm coming at you!"
Standing about three or four yards away from the man, she jabbed with her right arm in his direction. With the speed and force of her jab, a collumn of bees whipped out to strike him. She anticpated that he would evade the first punch so she quickly followed that with an uppercut from her left arm, sending another collumn of bees to strike him.
