| Another Reflection ]
The blistering morning wind combed its chilly fingers through Tsuki’s long loose locks as she stood on the patio outside of her and Shou’s second floor bedroom. The moon was still out, it was still dark, but the sun was due to peak it’s gentle orange head up from the horizon soon, and Tsuki thought she my stay up to welcome it. She could hear Shou sleeping soundly behind her, though he did not require much rest. It was unsettling how he was able to sleep with his eyes still open, lids seemingly plastered ajar. He usually took in a few hour of sleep, and then was back up to take care of administration, as well as the rest of his staff. The Mansion was not a home to Tsuki; it was a place of business with a bedroom to sleep in when Shou was tired. Unable to stand anymore of the biting cold dancing up her long, slender, uncovered legs, she headed back inside the room and picked up her Kimono, wrapping it around her and securing it tightly.
Gently, she tiptoed past Shou and into the hallway, slowly closing the door until it quietly snapped shut. The guards outside the door were soundless as they stood at attention, and did not flinch as she passed them. Tsuki was treated with as much respect as Shou was by the citizens and of this village, but he would not afford her the same courtesy himself.
Feet padding across the marbled floor, she headed down the hall a ways and breezed past the shinobi guarding her sons room. As she pressed her way in, she saw him sleeping soundly with a resolute look on his face as if he were dreaming that he was in battle. It was a look Shou used to have when they first were married, the nights when she would watch him sleep. But those days were well into the past, though it seemed Koushi had inherited his father’s mentality for war. She walked over to him and pressed her lips to his tiny furrowed brow, and as if that were the remedy for his restless dream, his face eased, and his body relaxed from it rigid position. After making sure he was tucked in, she headed next door to the adjoining room and closed it silently as she looked in on Keishi. She was clutching her teddy bear, and looked as serene as ever.
After she was satisfied that her children were safe, soundly sleeping in their beds, Tsuki headed back out and down the hall to the private bath where she readied herself for the day ahead.

The sun was finally awakening and creeping over the vista when Tsuki finally stepped outside on the front step of her abode. No doubt Shou had been up for some time, preparing the missions for the day, and her twins were being dressed and prepared for their training sessions by their tutors. Now that she was retired, there was not much to her day, but she would go out and be amongst the people this morning. After her fight with Shou the night before, it was more than evident that she had to begin taking things into her own hands. She could no longer depend on him for her happiness. So, in full ninja gear, she headed to the place that had been her brain-child since she became the Mizukage’s wife: the medical district of Kiri.

"Like a guardian angel..."
The ever brightening sun peeked through the scattered clouds that drifted overhead and warmed the misty air. The birds were out and about, filling Tara's ears with their sweet melody. Tsukiyomi was probably well aware of they eyes that were following her from a distance as she meandered towards the village's medical district. Like a guardian angel, Tara looked over Lady Tsuki and protected her from harm. Even when she couldn't see her, Tara was there making sure that nobody threatened to harm her. The only time when she wasn't allowed to protect her was when she was in the company of the Mizukage himself, an unfortunate restriction given the condition of their relationship. Eyes, one eye in particular, followed Tsukiyomi until she turned a corner. That was her time to move.
Like the wind, Tara appeared beside the Mizukage's wife. Her rose pink hair was pulled back in a loose ponytail and her scarred left eye was shut as always. On her hip was her trusted blade and on her back, she bore the Sasaki floral crest. There was no mistaking her identity and despite her sudden appearance, she knew that she wouldn't frighten the woman beside her. It was routine and the two always joked that she could count the seconds before Tara would appear at her side. Yes, like a guardian angel.
"Tsuki-chan." She adressed the woman with an informal greeting though with the same official tone in her voice that she would use to greet a Daimyo. "How is Shou-sama treating you?" In a sweet tone, well as sweet a tone as a woman like Tara could muster, she hinted at anything that may have occurred between the two the night before. Though she didn't know every intimate detail of her life, she was well aware of their marital status and she could sense it in the air when they were having their problems. She wasn't one to pry but she was there when her friend needed a shoulder to lean on.

| .How You Feel. ]
"...4...3...2..."
As the pink wisp of wind that was Sasaki Tara appeared next to Tsuki, she smiled in amusement at the woman’s impeccable ability to show up like a whirling dervish at her side, precisely on schedule. “...1. Good morning Tara-chan.” Tsukuyomi said in response to her question. It was just like her friend to cut to the chase. She could somehow always tell when something was wrong with Tsuki, even if Tsuki showed no trace of discomfort or distress. Then again, they had spent most of their time together these last 6 years, so a natural bond was inevitable. And as for her emotions, she certainly was not going to show it out in front of the people, who had noticed the two and were greeting them as they passed.
Tsuki ignored the question for a moment, just long enough for the two to reach the hospital, then as soon as the stepped in the door, she turned to look at Tara. It was awkward for her to be talking through her face mask, so she pulled it off for the time being. “Shou is Shou, Tara, and you know that. Nothing has changed. Not for the better, anyway...” she said as her eyes and voice seemed to trail off together, hand and hand to some unknown void. It was rare that Tsuki was not focused, but her mind had been drifting to another place lately. A better place. “Let’s go in my office so we can talk securely. You never know what eyes and ears can see and hear what’s going on.” They were, indeed, in the presence of trained, skilled ninja.
Tsuki turned and headed down the long corridor to her office, her pace slow enough to let Tara catch up.
