The Tsuchikage pushed onward. A sweaty forehead was covered by a straw hat. The sound of his sandals against the steps of the "Gesshoku" palace was becoming annoying as he continued up them. But this was what fathers did in order to see their children. Especially after five years of absence. Anything. He scratched his back in a grunt as he stopped at a small door. On both sides were two Tsuki-nin. No doubt guarding the door. He smirked at them.
"I'm Ryota Is--"
"RIGHT THIS WAY TSUCHIKAGE-SAMA!"
"... o___o" The former Tsuchikage expressed as he stepped through the now open doors. He scratched his temple in a silly grin. "I didn't know that title carried this far."
"This is the Gesshoku's dwelling... She's not expecting you."
"That's alright. That's how I like it." he said as he took his hat off. His hair was as it usually was. Moderately tamed by a rubber band. Tendrils of hair in any which direction that it pleased. His hazel eyes were bright with anticipation. Not only to see the love of his life, but to see his children. Those two rays of joy that his sun shone down on him. Gifts from whatever god is out there. He licked his lips, hoping to erase any dryness that existed. He breathed into his hand and sniffed quickly. His tongue ran over his teeth making sure no plaque lay upon their white surfaces. He snickered. One would know that these particular people drove him up the wall with happiness. Isu never went to these precautions to look good. He raised his fist up to the door, knocking on it three times. He took in a deep breath...

Slowly, the doors opened, two more ANBU standing there to answer. "I...Isu-sama..." One of them said from behind his mask, kneeling at his feet, his partner following suit. Isu would not yet know it, but though he had not seen his family since Kyoshi left Iwa, all of Tsuki celebrated the day he would grace their streets. He was the father of their long awaited heir. "...you have come. Just as she said you would."
After a few seconds, they arose and saluted him, then nodded to the other shinobi who then would close the door behind him after he entered. "Right this way, Isu-sama."
One guard remained at the door while the other led Isu through the entry room and to what looked like a massive room with black marble walls and black marble floors. It was roughly half the length of a basketball court (whatever basketball was) and it was filled with sculptures carved from black marble, white marble, and something that looked like obsidian. Adorning these works of art were stones that looked like black and blue diamonds. These were the Moon Crystals that Tsuki was so famous for.
As they walked further, if Isu would have looked up, there was a massive spiral staircase leading up to the next floor, and even beyond that to the third floor. There was a massive Moon Crystal chandelier hanging right above them, dimly lit with candles. Beside him was a massive fireplace, about eight feet tall, ten feet wide, and above it was a giant painting of Kyoshi, Shingai, and Akihiko.
There was much more to this massive masterpiece of a mansion, but before he would be able to take all this in, they would stop at the bottom of the staircase, and be greeted with a familiar voice...
"...Isu..." Was all that was said.
At the top of the stairs on the second floor, peering over the balcony, there was a stern faced woman clad in a long, black, silk Kimono, very sleek and modern but with a royal, traditional flair. Her hair was draped over her shoulders, her lips were painted a passionate ruby red, in her ears were the same black and blue crystals that adorned everything else, and there was an antique looking locket.
Though her face stayed stern, her eyes seemed to smile with fire at the sight of him.
"...Why so secretive? You don't think I know when you enter my village?"

He peered at the paining. And that was all. There they were. His family. He smiled. His family was waiting for him right there. His fingers nervously flicked against one another. He wasn't expecting it to be like this. What happened to that little apartment they stayed in? THAT right there was a home. Then again... this was another time. A teenage daughter and a possibly rambunctious boy wouldn't be able to be held in such an abode. He still preferred it though. Isu was too simplistic. Nonetheless, he loved those three in that portrait. He crossed one arm around his torso, resting his other on it and placing his chin onto his fist. He nodded slightly. Five years of what? 'I'm an idiot for letting her come here without me... I could know what was going on in those fi--'
That voice. He turned. Up the staircase... what is that? He squinted. His eyesight had taken the toll of his age. He took a step closer. The voice sounded really familiar. "... Kyoshi..." He stopped in his tracks. Speaking couldn't describe his feeling. No. He simply stared. His light eyes were dancing in a squiggly weird joy. For the first time in his life, Isu felt the warm fuzzies. His blank face soon became a wide smile. His feet began to move. His sandals slapped against the stairs as he shoot up them. He didn't stop as he drew nearer.
He grabbed the woman. He held her tight in his arms. He pressed his face into her shoulder as he began to spin her around himself. Her hair smelled good. :] Nothing had changed about that. He placed her down, but felt it to be an impossible feeling to let her go. His eyes closed tight as he gripped her back, wondering if the woman before him was even real. Genjutsu sucked like that. Was he dead? What was really going on? Isu didn't know happiness on this level.
He pressed his lips against her cheek and whispered to her: "... I missed you more than you could ever know." Then he resumed his tight embrace.

As he ran up the spiral staircase, skipping steps to get to her, she braced herself. When he picked her up and spun her, she clung to him, mainly because she didn't want to be dropped, but secondly because it was the first embrace of a man she'd felt in five years...and the first embrace from the father of her child in forever. There was no way to describe how she felt at the moment. An unexpected part of her seemed to leap when they touched, and when he kissed her cheek, she even blushed! The guard below looked up in disbelief, and coughed as he turned his back to them. No one ever saw Kyoshi show any other emotion other than stern and, at select moments, cynical. When he put her down and grasped her, her arms hang limp.
Should she hug him?
She'd had time to collect herself when she realized he was in the village. Commoners talk. And it seemed to her that she knew what her reaction would be. She'd be happy. Right? But a part of her had built a wall of ice around her heart after five years, and she had no idea that he'd slowly begin to melt it.
"...I...have missed you as well," she replied, straight laced, but not without a tinge of emotion. A tear began to form in her eye, but she could not cry. Slowly, however, her arms began to slide around him and she returned his passionate hug, fingers wrapping into his garments tightly.
But, that moment would not last long, however, for down the hallway, a door would open and out would step a beautiful young girl. She was also in a kimono, though her's was white with black cherry blossom print, and her hair was in a neat, tight bun at the top of her head. "I...su?"
Kyoshi looked up quickly at the girl and wiped her face. "Shingai..."

Isu's smile dimmed as his encounter with Kyoshi continued. Tears formed in her eyes as she pulled him into herself and held him. His smile was completely gone at that point. His hazel eyes looked off onto the wall, and his mouth then formed into a frown. What had he done to this woman before him? Why was he so foolish? He'd learned from the small time that he spent with her that she was emotional. Small changes in their home life tipped her off the balance... and of course there was that one run in with Igami... and the secret ones with that one secretary. Jeez... Isu was an asshole. He closed his eyes as he held her tighter. Though he wanted to tell her with all his heart that he was sorry...
Shingai met his eyes. He slowly let go over her, looking into her eyes somberly for just a moment, allowing his hands to trail from her shoulder to her hands. He squeezed it gently just before his hand slipped out of hers. As he took toward Shingai he slightly peered over his shoulder at her. 'You prick...'.
His large hands reached around Shingai's now larger form. She wasn't the nine-year old girl he would come to know as a daughter. She was becoming a woman. He bent slightly infront of her, pulling her onto his tattered clothing and lifting her from her feet. He pressed his rough face against her majesty, taking in the smell of her skin. Weird... fathers didn't smell their daughters did they? But it was hard not to do. To see his family grow in such a way. He took in a breath before placing her down.
"You've grown, Shingai-chan... or should I say Shingai-sama, eh?"

Shingai's eyes filled with tears. It was her third father; the first two were dead now. She had only known him for the time he'd taken care of her before and while her mother led the rebellion in Tsuki, but during that time he was the only parent she had. And the five years of his absence, her mother made sure to tell her and Akihiko of all his wonderful exploits and held him in the highest esteem. He was a hero in her eyes.
She squeezed him back tightly, her eyes also filled with unstoppable tears, but unlike her mother, she was actually almost sobbing. Her face was buried in Isu's chest and her hands went up to the front of his shirt, gripping it as she cried into it.
Kyoshi took a couple of deep breaths as she watched their reunion, a hand going to her firm, emotionless mouth. The old, emotional Kyoshi no longer lived there. The woman swallowed hard, then let her hand drop to her side.
"Shingai." She said firmly. "Is this how we act here?" Shingai sobbed a couple more times, then pulled away from Isu. "I... -sniff- ... I'm sorry mother." She wiped her eyes, then bowed to Isu. "Greetings, Isu-sama. I...I missed you so much."
"Now, go clean yourself up. Isu will be joining us for dinner. Make yourself presentable."
"Hai." Shingai nodded, then slipped back into her room.
A long, thick silence filled the hallway between them after Shingai retreated. Not so much uncomfortable was it was thick and resonant. There were so many silent emotions being exchanged in the absence of sound.
"So. What brings you to my village, Tsuchikage-sama?" Her look and voice had changed from before. All the emotion she was about to let out before retreated behind her cold eyes, almost like a wounded animal afraid to reveal itself.

Um... What?
Isu's head slowly turned. What the fuck jumped up her coochie in three seconds? He looked into Shingai's eyes momentarily before kissing her on the forehead. "Do as mommy says. I'll deal with the big monster." He whispered in a chuckle. Afterward, he stood. However, his face was no longer as it was when he faced Shingai. Kyoshi wanted to change? Kk. Fair game, bitch. His previous demeanor of happiness of reuniting with his family would not change dramatically. The Isu she knew would return. The cold icebox who fathered her child. Sandaime Tsuchikage--Isu.
'What brings me here? You bitch. Obviously to see your miserable ass.'
Isu didn't voice these thoughts. As much as he wanted to kick her over the banister, he would restrain himself. His eyes seemed to stiffen as he walked closer to her. He stopped a yard off from her. "... Let's not play games, woman. Where is my child? I've come for him and no one else."

So, his true intentions were revealed, huh? Kyoshi knew she was right to hold back. Once again, she would have been hurt if she'd shown how she really felt and let herself be vulnerable around this man. So much for the valiant, loving Isu she had told her children about. But she wouldn't change their view of him. It was important to her for her kids to love their father.
But now, the gloves were off, and her worst fears were coming to fruition. Isu had lost the love behind his granite like face, and on top of that, he mistakenly thought he was going to take their son.
Big mistake.
Kyoshi's eyes did not change from their stern gaze, her mouth did not tighten as it would have before. They'd been though all this before. But it was always done in love. He had switched on her so fast this time, she didn't know who he was.
"You've come for him? After five years of nothing?" Kyoshi smiled, something she never did when she was happy, so it was clear that was not the emotion behind it.
And it was scary. Just ask Kinezumi.
"I knew all of that was a farce. A game. And now that no one is looking, you've finally cut to the chase." Kyoshi walked up to Isu, closing the space between them immensely. She wasn't scared of him. Who did he think he was disrespecting her in her own home?
"My son isn't here. He's being tutored at the moment. Now, let me tell you how this is going to go." She looked him in the eye, brows raised, arms crossed. "You are going to join us for dinner, you are going to smile and laugh and be merry, you will spend time with Akihiko and Shingai under my observation, and then you will leave." Her voice was hushed, but hella firm. She did not need Shingai hearing them snarl at each other.
Point.
Blank.
Period.

'This bitch is crazy isn't she? ... I think she's crazy.'
Isu placed a arm in front of himself, keeping the livid woman back from him. His brow inclined themselves, staring her down as she talked and talked like women did. It's funny how women do that. He chuckled. But not like she'd ever heard him chuckle. Nah. This was that sinister chuckle. He wasn't laughing with her. He was laughing at her. He placed his hands over his mouth as he began to mellow out. He swallowed in a sinister smile. "Who--Who do you think you are, woman? You feel that because you run some excuse for a village you are god now? That you can tell me what I, the TSUCHIKAGE what is going to happen concerning MY child? Well, woman. You must have gone and grown some balls bigger than mine in these five years, haven't you?" He stepped closer to her, placing dangerous eyes onto her face. "As you have called me, I am the Tsuchikage. Allow me to tell you that because you now run this second-rate shit of a village... I still see you as the weak, feeble, emotionally-pathetic woman I rescued from a pathetic platoon of shinobi. You are the same damsel in distress I nursed back to health. You are the same idiot who I cared for for a complete year while you were ridden with amnesia, or whatever crap it was. You owe your life to me woman. And I'll be damned if I'm not allowed to have Ryota Akihiko in exchange for that. I am his father! I am the reason he was able to have such a pathetic vessel to call a mother! No five years can change that... you--you wench!!"

Kyoshi slowly sucked her teeth, loud and hard. The old her would have flared up and cried, run off and slammed a door or something. But this time, she was on her playing field. This was a home game, son. She had the home team advantage. And no matter how mad he got, he wasn't going to do anything.
"Heh, you're full of it, you know that?" she shook her head and turned her back to him, as if she were going to walk away. "You fuck around with random females while we were together while I'm at home with your son, you stay gone for days at a time, and you even go on some fucking spiritual monk journey for what, 5 years? And you think for one second I'm going to let you take my son?"
Kyoshi turned back and looked Isu in the eye, her own green orbs finally squinting sinisterly at him. "Well let me tell you something, Tsuchikage-tan, MANGETSU Akihiko isn't going anywhere with you." And with her last words, she placed a finger to his forehead and pressed it hard, mushing him with it.
Damn him.

"Defense, bitch. No."
Isu plucked her finger from his--well, no, I'm lying. MORE LIKE SLAPPED THAT SHIT TO THE MOON! His forearm slammed into her own, as he stepped into her personal space, pushing her back as he slammed his body into hers. His eyes turned bloodshot with anger as he stared wide-eyed at her. His breathing was intense. He couldn't believe that shit. Say word, son, if she was a man, son... Isu would have fucked her shit up, son.
Silence was thick in the air. The guards dared not look up. Isu's shoulders rose up and down slower and slower as they went. He nodded to himself as he stepped back. As if he owned the place, he started pacing. See... Kyoshi was wrong. Isu owned this mug. Because as far as Kyoshi's life was concerned, it was Isu's. So goes the code of saving a ho's life. So damn right, Tsuki was under the Tsuchikage's control. His breathing became intense again. His bright eyes stopped on her as he stomped back up on her. His hands rose to her neck. More specifically the necklace.
Yank.
"Where's ma' child at?"

Yap. Yap. Yap.
She was going to stand up for herself on this day. As he began pressing against her to push her back, Kyoshi stood her ground. She wasn't the weak little fragile woman who had lost her memories before. She had all of her past back, now, and the Kyoshi he had never had a chance to meet was about to rise up in her. The second time he pressed on her, she stepped back with him, so he never made contact with her.
The guards looked up, grabbing for their kunai, thoroughly confused. What should they do if the former Tsuchikage tried to pop off? It would make more sense to let Kyoshi do her thing, but they had somewhat of an obligation to her to serve and protect. Luckily for them, she'd make the decision for them by shooting them a glance as if to say, 'Stay out of this'.
"Mad?" she asked, wiping the spit he'd showered her with from her face and raising a brow. But, when his hand went to yank the necklace off, her own hand caught his wrist in response, and with clinched teeth she spoke.
"I told you. He is not here, and you are NOT going see him acting like this." Just then, the ANBU nodded to each other, and the one by the door slipped out. That's right. Keep acting up. She always had a Plan B for this moment.

Standing on top of a rooftop was a dark haired shinobi. His arms were crossed and his squinted eyes only accented the stern look on his face. A light breeze blew by as he stood on the roof waiting. Glancing over to his left he saw the silhouette of a figure leaping from rooftop to rooftop. Huffing lightly as the figure approached at greater speeds he would remain perfectly still. Descending behind him the figure would drop down to one knee as they panted. Glancing over his shoulder at the exhausted boy the stern look remained on the man's face.
"Did you get them?"
"A-ah...," the boy stuttered as he looked away. "There was this line...and...on the way my mom saw me...," he tried to explain, but his stumbling only made him look all the worse. Glancing up at the man as he walked towards him the boy lowered his head. "I tried..."
"Argh, you're killing me Kori. I sent you because it wouldn't look right if I did it," Taiko said as he scratched the back of his head. "How does it look to see one of Tsuki's finest waltzing into a manga store and--" stopping dead in his sentence a seriousness crossed the now jōnin Taiko. Two shinobi wearing animal masks appeared behind him -- ANBU. One leaned forward and whispered something into his ear, and then stepped back. "Head on home Kori. I'll meet up with you later," he ordered and without question the boy ran off.
Without another word Taiko immediately took off towards the Gesshoku's Mansion.

"Acting--"
Five years couldn't change the fact that Kyoshi knew him. And, knew him all to well for that matter. Isu knew damn well he was acting. But he'd dug himself into a hole so deep at this point... how could he possibly just try to climb out now? It wasn't in his nature. He inherited such stubborn being from his father. Therefore, he scoffed at her, stepping back and folding his arms over his tattered clothing. The bitch had won this one. But so help him--he'd own her yet.
"Che... Alright. In what way should the Tsuchikage act to please the Gesshoku?"

"Thank you, Tsukuyomi no Mikoto..." She thought to herself. "The beast has calmed."
She wouldn't have to use Plan B after all.
Kyoshi's nostrils flared as she let go of his wrist. She opened her hand and held it out for him to place the locket back in it. Her demeanor began to go from a level 10 back to maybe a 6. "This isn't Iwa, Isu. This isn't our little house on the hill. YOU aren't the leader." Her voice was calm, almost to a whisper. It was a relief to her that Shingai didn't come back out and see the disaster that almost took place.
"And I don't say that to demean or belittle you. I say it to make you see that there are much important things to consider here than our qualms with each other." The ANBU she sent out slid back in the door, catching her eye, and nodded. If he was back, then whoever he called would not have been too far behind him. Calling in one of her Taiinmusha was just a precaution.
Though, she wondered who he'd chosen to come...
