PHILOSOPHY'S A LIAR WHEN YOUR HOME IS YOUR HEADSTONE
A soft breeze sighed through the land, carrying with it the salty scent of the sea. The sky was lit up in a multitude of colors, all brought on by the slow descent of the golden sun. Pesky gulls wandered about the sea-front, squabbling and making as much noise as physically possible. It almost seemed as though the pests held a contest to see who among them could prove the most bothersome.
Most villagers were running about finishing their days business, fetching dinner, getting drunk, all sorts of things. For the most part the place seemed dull, quiet save for the raucous cries of its feathered citizens. "What a bore." A lazy yawn shuddered through Keiro's lean form as he stretched out his stiff limbs. Settling into a more comfortable position, the youth gazed up at the changing sky. Faint stars could be caught, glittering stubbornly against their bright back-drop. Idly Keiro attempted to number the stars laid out above him, though his attention was soon drawn towards something down below. The boys nose wrinkled as a foul stench wafted towards him, the most horrid mix of brine and decay.
"Ugh." Keiro glared as a rather plump man strolled by wheeling a cart piled high with glittering fish. A sigh escaped the youths lips as he turned away from the fish-monger. "Well..." The white haired boy muttered to himself, " I guess there's no point laying around here anymore." Not that ever was anyways. With yet another sigh Keiro pushed himself up onto his feet.
From his vantage, Keiro had a wonderful view of a city with very little to offer. It was most unimpressive, though the boy did enjoy staring out at the roiling sea, perhaps that was the only part of this place he liked. Realizing that folk might find the sight of him preciously perched atop a rickety roof slightly odd, Keiro smirked. He really didn't care if is antics drew attention, for they were far too enjoyable to give up.
With one swift move Keiro leapt off the roof and landed nimbly on the ground below. No one seemed to pay attention to the strange youth stalking in to their midst, perhaps they were used to travelers. Keiro's feet took him to the harbor, where he once again plopped down to laze.
The faint murmur of the waves could be heard gently licking up the shore. The youth seemed fascinated by the waters movement, almost as if he had never seen water do such a thing before. Keiro's crimson eyes glittered in the dying sunlight as he curiously examined the landscape. "Huh."
