Izumida was so engrossed in his Steak Jr. that he had absolutely no idea what the others were saying. In his mind, Izumida had transformed into a hound, Shikome a fox, and Hanz a badger. Shikome's question came out as little more than a fox...noise.
After finishing the last morsels of his food, Izumida's eyes went back to normal and he closed his mouth right away. He looked up at Shikome and then Hanz. Wiping his mouth with a napkin, he cleared his throat.
"Well then."

Booooooring.
That's the exact emotion that Gan was feeling as he sat perched in the branch over the happy little group. Following Raigyo's orders he had used a Henge to disguise himself as a little gray sparrow. He hated this. He hated every moment of this. All this sitting back and watching. It was infuriating. The little brat was literally right under his nose. Right there, and he had to sit there. On a branch, and wait.
But wait for what? What good was all this observation going to do? Jack squat, that's what. So, forget this. Forget this plan. It was time to do things his way. The Gan way.
Ditching the Henge the red haired shinobi did a backflip out of the tree. Landing just behind the bench he landed with hardly a sound. Kicking off at full speed he dashed past the group, grabbed hold of Izumida's arm, and made a play to dip across the water.
Now how hard was that? He jumped down, grabbed the kid, and was about to make his escape.
Easy.

"Haha, did you even taste it, Izumida-kun?" Shikome asked, reaching out to pat his head. But as her hand was coming down upon his white hair, she heard something scrambling behind them.
"Hey, wh--!"
She wasn't THAT tied up in Hanz that she couldn't hear someone running at them, and before she could turn all the way around, she saw the blur run past them, attempting to yank her little brother's arm off. Not having time to react any other way, she shunhin'd in front of him before he crossed the lake, knowing she would probably just be taking the brunt of the impact she was about to cause.

One moment he was looking up at Shikome, and next he felt his arm practically ripped out of his pocket as he was pulled off the bench at high speed. He barely had time to let out a scream, let alone do anything to stop the guy.
"Shikomeeeeee!!!!!!!" he cried, reaching back to the bench where he thought she was.
But she wasn't there.
Craning his head, he turned to see her standing on the very water they were running across. He gritted his teeth, took a deep breath and prepared for impact.

"Shit," Gan spat as he saw Shikome suddenly appear infront of him. At the speeds that he was running at there was no way that he could stop in time to avoid her, and there wasn't really enough time to change direction. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all...
"Moron."
Sei's voice would mutter as time seemed to slow down for a second. Appearing to the side of Gan he lunged forward and grabbed Izumida by his waist, and tossed him over his shoulder. In that brief moment he kicked off the water and rushed deeper into the park. His teeth were gritted and a vein was twitching on his forehead. How the hell did he wind up with such an idiotic partner? That wasn't important now. He needed to get this kid as far away from that Shinobigatana as possible. He didn't even care to see how the collision between Gan and Shikome would turn out. The only thing on his mind was getting to Raigyo as quickly as possible.

When Shikome watched in horror as Izumida was yanked from the guy's arm by another guy, but it was too late. She wrapped her arms around the guy about collide with her, and used the momentum to twist her body 180 degrees and body slam him into the shallow water behind them. With grit teeth, she gave herself a few seconds to recover, wiping the water from her face.
Her first instinct was to panic, but she knew that Izumida's life was on the line. So, before the man would know what hit him, she shunshin'd to close the distance between her and the kidnapper, then broke out full speed after him.
"IZUMIDA~!"
Just as she closed in on him, she took a hail Mary leap onto a tree he was approaching to the right of him, then rebounded herself off of it barreling straight at him and Izumida, her hand held out for her brother to grab as she passed behind. She timed it just right so that if she grabbed him, she could land on her feet and take off in the western direction away from the assailant.

As Izumida was passed from assailant to assailant like a sack of potatoes, he attempted to think of something he could do to stop it. As much as he wanted to help stop his own kidnapping, he didn't want to get in the way of the far more experienced Shikome. So, he just followed her lead.
When it finally came his turn to act, he summoned all of his Academy training into one moment of impeccable timing. He grabbed her wrist as she bounded past!
Once again ripped from the clutches of an assailant, he quickly spun around and grabbed onto his sister's back, piggy-back ride style. They'd done this countless times before...
Just not under these circumstances.

"What the fu--," Sei barked as he felt the kid be plucked away from over his shoulder. Skidding to a stop he spun around, and glared as she attempted to make her rescue escape. "Gan, get up!!" he roared as he swiftly ran through a series of handseals. Two pillars of water erupted beside Sei, and molded themselves into perfect copies of himself. The two copies then immediately sprang into pursuit upon their completion.
Meanwhile, the real Sei pulled out his radio and opened the frequency with Raigyo. "Gan fucked up," he yelled into the radio. "He tried to nab the kid early, and screwed up royally. I'm chasing the girl now," he said as he looked over in Gan's direction to see him floating helplessly in the water -- knocked out.
"Whatever! Just get them to get back to their house," Raigyo spoke, but attempted to retain his anger. "Make them think they escaped you," he said before cutting off the radio.
Sighing Sei put his radio away and dashed off after his bunshin. If it was a chase that Shikome wanted a chase, she'd get one. As the two clones drew closer to her they each pulled out two kunai, and flung them at Shikome -- aiming to take out her legs.

Hanz smirked at the two of them as they went about their usual jeering around. Dude was hungry and inhaled his plate. Shikome picked on him about it. The two of them were so close. It was a feeling that Hanz hadn't really been familiar with until he had Mako. However, it would seem that even he would be caught slippin for a second. Hearing the footsteps late, his hand hand reached down to grip the hilt of his sword. "Shit..." Standing up, he moved to support Shikome, but something caught his eye. Another man approached coming at a high speed. It was a two man job. Feet away from the attempted kidnapper, as soon as the exchange happened, Hanz shunshin'd deeper into the park. Out of sight and out of mind. Trees would hide his position as he moved among the shadows parallel to the fleeing man. When Shikome made her move, Hanz watched as she caught him rather quickly. It was his first glimpse of her in battle. It would seem that the awkward woman was pretty proficient in taijutsu. Now it was his turn.
As he read the lips of the man, he gave a nod to himself. As his bunshins moved forward, Hanz would drop between them. Releasing his grip on Eion, he dropped down and covered his hand in a thick armor. His left hand would swoop across him to his right to catch the kunai. The same motion played in reverse would send the kunai back in the directions that they came, yet much quicker than they were flying currently. Hanz wasn't really sure what he was getting into, but the fact that Shikome had been acting weird made sense now. She had been acting on edge. Constantly looking over her shoulder and scanning the area were clear signs that something was bothering her. Now...her yelling at the boy about who he was with, the black feather, that letter. Everything was quickly linked in his mind, but that wasn't what was on the forefront of his mind. It linked its self together somewhere on the left side near the back. The Mizu Bunshins and the man that they belonged to took priority.
"Aye! Play nice!"
A lackadaisical tone of voice played on a slightly furrowed brow. Hanz never really thought of anyone being on his level, however, that didn't mean that he took them lightly. Taking in his surroundings, he quickly devised a strategy to hand the three of them should the kunai not handle the bunshins.

Shikome's first instinct was to dodge, but before she could, Hanz appeared out of nowhere to save the day. This was the third time she'd been more than happy to see him. He just kept racking up the points. A part of her wanted to stop and help him, but she needed to get Izumida some place safe. Not to mention, he was a frickin' shinobigatana. What did he need her help for? She'd go back home, and get Izumida to safety. That was the plan. Once they were home, she'd have time to regroup. Hopefully Hanz would know where to find them.
As the gap between the action and Shikome increased, she still never missed a beat. Her strong point was Taijutsu, so she was in the shape of a marathon runner and a female wrestler. She headed from the park to a back street that would carry her to the back of her apartment building. Once there, she let Izumida down and grabbed his hand, pulling him out of the alley and around to the front. They were almost home.

There he is, one of the mizu bunshin thought as Hanz finally decided to join the frey. He was the reason that the real Sei had been cautious to directly enter into the action even further. While Hanz may look like a kid he was definately not somebody to be taken lightly. Besides, having detailed information on one of the Shinobigatana could prove to be very helpful in the long run.
Preforming the neccesary seals once again he created yet another clone. This one would serve as Sei's eyes and ears as he began to shadow Shikome. Despite Gan's impatience and stupidity, everything was seemingly working out in the end.
"Raigyo-san," Sei spoke softly into the radio as he jumped into a tree. Looking his eyes onto Shikome's location he watched as she began heading in the direction for her home. "She's headed your way. Somehow, Gan actually proved useful. We're keeping the Shinobigatana busy now."
"Huh, good job."
That was it. All this trouble and all he'd get was a "huh, good job." Oh well, something was better than nothing. Dropping down from the tree he began to follow behind Shikome's trail, making sure to keep far enough away as to not draw attention to himself.

As the kunai were returned to the bunshin they simply avoided them. Reaching behind his back the first of the bunshin pulled out a tanto, and rushed in on Hanz. Coming in from the side he attempted to slash the Shinobigatana across his neck. The attack would most likely be blocked, but that's exactly what Sei was planning to happen.
Meanwhile...
Groaning the red headed thug lifted his body up from the water, and shook his head. "What happened...," he asked himself, and then looked around. Suddenly, everything came back to him. The rushing, the body slamming...the humilation. His face turned red with rage as he sprang to his feet, and clentched his teeth. "That bitch...," he growled as he started running in the direction of the action.
"I'll kill her."

Mizu bunshins would be no threat to Hanz. They were far too weak to stand up to his skill. He was more concerned with the owner of these attack dogs. Seeing as he jumped into a tree, it wouldn’t be that simple to shake him. Reaching into his pouch, a shurinken would be his weapon of choice. Hurling it at a high velocity into the tree, he would attempt to shake the man out. Seeing the tanto, Hanz’s eyes opened wide as it would miss its target. Not the good guide of miss that would cause no harm, but it would hit slightly higher then intended, planting a kiss upon the lips of the Kiri Jounin. Hanz’s head would rock back and he would be lifted from his feet. Remaining suspended in the air for a few moments, he would hit the ground once with a cloud of dust, then twice before settling down…
Or did he?
In a poof of smoke, there was a log on the ground. Again, the bunshins were not a priority. Seeing as how the man was trying to get away, if they got separated from their master they would be useless. Thus, the distraction of a kawarimi was in order. Leaping through the trees with only a few rustling sounds to give away his position, he tailed the man. There was no need to be discreet however as he dropped to the ground and shunshin’d after this man. Taking a kunai, as his foot touchdown, he performed yet another. The kunai’s target would be the back of the man’s leg, just underneath his calf muscle. Slashing on a downward angle, the more specific target was the Achilles tendon. Slicing that would make running impossible, yet keep him alive.
Placing a hand on the ground, he kicked up dust behind him as he slid into place between him and Shikome. The hand clung to the ground and kept him from going out of control. Still covered in his caraspace, he wouldn’t even feel it. Usually in movies, right now was the time when the heroic music would play and Hanz would say something along the lines of “I’m your opponent” or “Make my day” but this wasn’t TV. In fact, this was too hot for TV. It was life and death…at least for whoever this man was. To Hanz, losing wasn’t even an option.

kiah, ilumpfm.
Izumida held onto his sister as tight as he could, ducking his head down and closing his eyes tight. His grip may have been suffocating her, but he wouldn't have noticed. He had absolutely no idea what was going on. Like, at all. There was no reason for this to be happening...
"Shikome, what's happening?!" he cried the moment he was set down. Half-dragged into the front of his house, Izumida bit his lip and shut up. He realized that there was probably no time for explanations, and his whining and complaining would only make everything worse.
They soon reached the apartment door. It felt like a sanctuary, that the moment they were inside no harm could possibly befall them. All his life, he treated their home as such. He took a deep breath and felt his nerves die down somewhat. They were safe.

Shikome stopped in front of the door, and looked down the hall behind them. She couldn't hide it from him for much longer. So, she squatted to his eye level and put her hands on his shoulders. "Izumida-kun. We're being chased by those people who chased mom and dad," she began, looking him sincerely in the eye. "And to pay off the debt, they want me to fight again. But, I said no. And...now they're after us."
Without waiting for him to respond, she remembered that they needed to get safely in the apartment before they could discuss this further, so she stood and grabbed Izumida by the hand again before fidgeting with her key, and finally putting it in the keyhole. However, when she turned it, she noticed the door was already unlocked...
"No..."
...slowly, she pressed the door open and peered inside. Things looked normal enough. Maybe she just forgot to lock it when she ran out to get Izumida. But that was unlikely. "Izumida. Stay behind me. Hold on tight..." was all she could say as she walked into the apartment.
She walked over to the end table where her picture with Izumida was, and noticed that it had been slightly shifted. Somebody had been in here. Or still was.

Shikome's words were cold to Izumida's senses. He shivered. Were they gonna have to move too?
After walking in, he quickly noticed that many things were amiss. "Shikome, someone was here." he whispered without missing a beat. "Look." he continued, pointing into the kitchen. There was a glass placed on the counter, small globules of water sitting at the bottom of it. Izumida would never leave a glass sitting on the counter, and if Shikome did, he would have washed it and put it away before they left.
Staying behind Shikome, Izumida continued looking around the house. The very same couch that they would often watch movies together had a set of creases, very far apart from each other. Someome really big had obviously sat there before they arrived. Neither Shikome or Izumida were anywhere near big enough to leave such an indentation.
He grabbed her hand, moving in closer. The boy genius was extremely scared.
